Jeans and your loose/saggy skin....

Does anyone have issue wearing jeans or jean shorts with a sagging stomache? It seems like when I do, it causes my belly to stick out far further then it normally would. Like theres this definate indentation....like this from the side:

I
I
I
II
III
II
I
I
I

Where it would normally be pretty flat, just with saggy skin...

It gets to the point where I don't wear jeans very often because it really looks like I gained 15 pounds in my stomache 0.o...does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do? D;

I bought some tight footless leggings which I wear under all my pants and jeans. Eventually I plan to have surgery but want to lose more weight first. They really do help hold in the skin a lot.

I hear Spanx or other tummy controllers work wonders. I haven't lost weight to have saggy skin but when/if I do I plan to use those for a while, to see if the skin tightens up before considering surgery.

When I went from 220 to 160 I had some loose skin but it wasn't very bad at all, though I imagine if I ever got to 140ish it might be a lot 'goo-eyer' and now that I am older, have smoked and drank for many years, and am starting at 260 it could be a whole different story.

But Spanx should help.

I know this probably sounds gross, but I find jeans that let me tuck my loose skin in, AND I wear a tight cami underneath whatever I'm wearing. For the most part it works.

I know it's annoying. Any jeans that fit properly give a muffin top and if you get jeans that don't give you one they're too big!! D:

do you mean you get a muffin top on either side of your hips? it sounds like your jeans might be too tight in the waist and causing the over hang of skin. sometimes just because it fits doesnt mean it fits :p but i would try some spanx and see if it helps, which it should.

How about a higher rise? If the rise on jeans is too low there's no where else for the loose skin to go but over and out. :( I'm also with Sontaikle on the tight (and long) cami that can be tucked firmly in your jeans. That can hide a lot.

I have the skin issue too... i always make sure to have higher rise pants (American Eagle artist jeans I love!) Plus I always wear a cami underneath all my shirts to hold it in. They also sell tummy firming tanks that I love... it helps a lot

I'd love to find a good belly band. Some sort of band that is like just the top part of the spanks without having to put your legs through and having something covering your crotch. I haven't quite found what I'm lookin for yet.

mandypandy, if you find something like that please share with us! Or maybe you can invent it for all of us and become a rich woman!

I forgot I had a pair of Hanes shapewear capris that I wore when I was much thinner. Its almost like footless tights but more firm and a higher waist. And it eliminates pantylines, which I hate! I am going to check out ebay and see if I can find a few more pairs. Hopefully I can squeeze myself into the XL, I think that's the biggest they come.

Elvislover - I will definitely post back if I find something like that. It should exist - shouldnt it? If not, we may have a good business idea! :)

I got my footless tights at Lane Bryant and they are very firm... but not as binding as Spanx. I really like them. Wishing I could find some shorts like them.

My tummy is a lot of extra skin from pregnancies. Low rise, tight jeans are a thing of the past for me. I buy a midrise and I go for the bit larger size. Anything too tight instantly gives me this skin muffin top thingy
It was actually almost all skin when I was almost at goal. Since I've regained, the muffin top has become more fat and not just skin. I'm pretty sure only plastic surgery with fix it completely. :dizzy:

Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but it made me think of "bella bands". It's main use is during pregnancy, but I wore it after pregnancy to hold me in a bit, and smooth out my jeans.

Google bella bands! That's the name brand, but there are lots of knock offs on etsy, etc.
