Last Christmas I hadn't weighed myself in at least 6 months! In June of 2009 I was in the mid 160's and when I started losing weight in Sept 2010 I was 177 so I was probably about 170 lbs. I don't remember anything weight specific to X-Mas, but I do remember going shopping for hours on New Years Eve trying to find something that looked cute on me. Never was able to find anything, but it wasn't the clothes. It was how I felt about my body.

Last night I went to an X-Mas party and by the end of the night we decided to start taking a bunch of different crazy pictures. I didn't feel self conscious or worried about being in those photos at the time like I used to be. And I just checked them out on Facebook. I like what I see! Yay!

You look awesome, Annie Drews!! And congratulations to everyone else that's made such amazing progress in the past year. :)

Last year I was around 190, eating whatever crap, and telling myself it was OK because I was "listening to my body." I wore the same 3 sweaters over and over again because I was afraid to wear anything more form-fitting, and I only had one or 2 pairs of big jeans that would fit.

I was unhappy, didn't feel like moving around a lot... sad about my size, but didn't feel motivated enough to do anything about it. I was very introverted and scared to get out and do things with people, and just clung to my husband when we did go out and do things with other people.

Now I look and feel great, and have a very active social life, both with and without my husband around. I feel much more energetic, happy, and hopeful.

I've never visited Maintenance before, but since I'm near goal I thought I'd drop in. I like it here! :)

I decided to do a side by side comparison photo to see the change in one year and it really makes me feel proud. I'm not at goal yet but it's a nice reminder. Size 16/18 to a current 10/12 :)

Great job, everyone!

last Christmas I weighed about 250 and did not want to be in any pictures or anything. This year, at 150, I smiled and only had to delete one picture of me, and not because I looked fat, just because it was a bad picture.

This Christmas, I fit in all the clothes that I was wearing last Christmas.

That's called "maintenance"!

However, I was four pounds heavier than this year & had no definition in my abs to speak of.

This year, I'm seeing a little tightening up of what was hopelessly slack last year.

Also, this year, I waited to go to the gym until **after** we'd opened the gifts.

Last Xmas I had fallen off the wagon. 2009 had started well but then I fell off somewhere between Jan and Apr, got back on in Sept, and then fell off again by Nov. An 11lb gain across the year.

It was New Years Eve when I got fed up with losing weight and decided to meet my goal once and for all (I started losing in 2006 at 200lbs!). Xmas 2009 I was 160lbs, overweight and heading back to being obese. This year, I'm 125lbs, 11lbs within the healthy BMI range, and closing in on my goal.

I think my goal has also changed. Last year it was 120lbs and now it's 115lbs.

Last Christmas I was 218 and very proud of myself, down almost seventy pounds in six months. I had just started running and could run for about one minute with the treadmill at 4.3. This Christmas I'm down another close to 30 lbs, can run half an hour or more with the treadmill on 5.2 and haven't worn a plus size item in close to a year.
