  • Wow....I never realized that there was a term for my stomach and what it looks like. But, I have definitely got a "double belly" as well. My lowest weight at my height was about 140 (5'6). Even then I had it. At some point around 160, I actually tend to end up with what someone termed a triple belly! ...three rolls, each consecutively bigger going downward. But there is always a crease right at my belly button. I think that this has generally made how pants fit on me a bit different than other women, and also I have always felt funny in a bikini because of it. (even at the 140 weight). Now I am tempted to google the term "double belly" and see what kind of images show up. lol. I also thought it was funny when someone posted saying that she called it her front butt! LOL. I also had never thought of it this way....kind of like a front/sideways butt! Ok, anyway.....I guess I am glad that there are others out there who are in the same boat and have the same struggles.
  • It's so good to know I'm not alone! Although I do hate that we all have to deal with this "little problem". I doubt mine will ever go away, it's been there for as long as I can remember and even after I reach goal I suspect I will still have that indent, and that's ok. I've come to terms with it more lately. I'll never be comfortable in a bikini, but I've never worn one either and I haven't missed it yet! haha
  • I had a double belly until just recently - now I still have a muffin top, but you can see my belly botton when I stand up - the upper one is disappearing. I still have a huge lower belly, though!
  • I'm glad you asked this question too, roxmysox!

One day we will see our belly buttons when we look in the mirror... with no re-arranging necessary
  • roxmysox thank u soo much for asking this question !! i just joined today and i came across this forum while i was googling the term "double belly" I definitely have 1 !!! aft reading all the posts i have realized tht it s a lot of struggle to reach tht stage !! i just want the upper belly to vanish so tht i can wear fitting clothes again... but again like roxmysox my double belly has been with me forevever now... (I am 24)... u guys would be my saviours if u could just tell me wat exercises u did to get rid of the upper belly !!!!
  • I just happened to see this thread bumped in my feed and I remember when I asked almost two years ago now. I can tell you that while my weight loss has been slow (and was "stalled" for almost an entire year!! ugh), the belly is getting smaller with the number on the scale. I will try to remember to report back at goal and beyond.
  • I had that "double belly" You can see it pretty clearly in my before picture I have some stretch marks and loose skin above my belly button, as well as just a little pooch now- and I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who notices it at all. I wouldn't wear a bikini, but in clothes it's not noticeable. I'm happy with the result. Wouldn't even consider surgery for one second
