Stretch Marks
I have very wide and deep stretch marks. So far this has been limited to just my thighs.. but recently its spread to my stomach even though I've been dieting and exercising and losing a few pounds. Are they going to get less noticeable when I get closer to my goal weight or will they just turn into horrible scars?
|
What I found, was as I lost weight, I had MORE obvious stretch marks. I had them the entire length of my thigh, from my hips to my knees front and back.
I used Bio-Oil, you can get it from Walgreens. A little goes a LONG way and a little tub will last you for a month. I saw a difference in my marks within 3 days - and they were completely gone in a few months. Highly, highly recommend Bio Oil. Good luck with your weight loss! |
bio oil really works?! I have been going back and forth on if I should buy it and try it or not. I have stretch marks everywhere because I ballooned up when I was preggo.
I am SO gonna buy some this weekend. :):):) |
i have tried bio oil before, i had good results :) And it smells really good too! :D

I found that my stretch marks got a little MORE noticeable as I lost weight. They've faded somewhat, though, but I'll tell you - they're still a lot easier to hide than the fat was!

Hi, I have heard that Bio Oil is brilliant with stretch marks.
|
Yep! - Totally works! The results in the first week seems really impressive, then it slows down, but keeps working. It's like the SB diet for your marks! The oil isnt oily for a long time like baby oil is, it absorbs pretty fast.

Interesting about bio-oil. Do you know if there is a website that ships it internationally? I would like to buy some but as I am moving to Cyprus, I doubt I will find some on the local drugstores.

ive seen many an add on tv for this product....
been thinking about giving it a go.... definately will now.... my stretch marks are getting more and more noticeable with the weight loss.... |
Bio Oil actually only recently came to America.
I bought it when I lived in England, they carried it at Boots for around five quid. I think Walgreen has it for 8? I know it's definitely less than 12. I think. I dunno - that's sooommeeewwhherreee in the ballpark of how much it costs. And I think that's for about two oz of it, but two oz kept me for a month and a half. Here's the website for it http://www.bio-oil.info/ so you can find how to get it in a country/city near you! Edit : Found websites! Walgreens for the US people it's 11.99 for two ounces, but the two ounces really do last a long time. A little goes a LONG way. ExpressChemist for the UK side! and it's a little over 6 quid for 60 ml! Edit again: If you're looking for it in the store, the little orange and white bottle is actually packaged in a mini orange and white box - just so you know what it is you're keeping an eye out for :) |
I noticed some new stretch marks recently. I think I'll give this product a try. It's cheaper than those expensive stretch mark creams that don't work.
|
I'm going to have to stop by the pharmacy later and pick up a bottle.
|
Thank you for the excellent reviews, Eskinomad! I've been waffling about it for awhile. They sell it at Shoppers Drug Mart here for $11. I'm going to pick some up today. I, too am noticing more marks as I lose weight, and have a better view of my different parts.

I hope it works as well for everyone else as it did (and does!) for me. I actually had it recommended to me by a guy friend of mine who is a body building competitor in NZ. Apparently body builders have huge problems with stretch marks as well and he swore by the stuff, and now I do too. Good luck, ladies!
ETA - I also recommend that you take "Before" and "After" pictures, probably when you first buy it, and maybe three weeks or so in to it. It should be enough time to see SOME kind of a hint of a difference to see if it's working for you. Plus - who doesn't love before and after pictures?? |
