Hello all,

I lost 70 pounds over the course of a year, and my boobs have suffered as a result. I went from a 42DD to a 38D. I am 28 years old but my boobs look like my grandmothers. Until I can get a lift, I need to get a decent bra that deals with the sagging. What I wear now has an undwerwire to help with support, but they're made of cotton because I don't like the pointy boob look I get with satin or the other materials. Can anybody recommend a good bra to get the twins back up to where they are supposed to be?

Congrats on your loss! I never had a large chest myself and never had bra issues, but there was a recent bra fitting discussion in the Shopping forum here at:

I went from a 44D to a 40C/B and I compeletly understand the problem of you breast looking terrible, but with the right bra no one else will know. My personal favorite is the plung style from cacique, this is similar to the bar I wear, and when I make a comment about my breast looking terrible every says I'm crazy.

I know vicky secrets' infinity edge bras are perfect for lifting. They're full coverage and the lift without pushing you out. Producing that akward pointy boob look you spoke of.

I'm not done with weight loss yet, but have paused (readjusted focus) slightly to deal with some other ongoing health/family health issues so have been at this weight for a few weeks now. I find many bras for my current size (34DD) push my breasts too far out to the sides, this one does not. It also lifts better than I have experienced for a while. No pointy boobs since it's molded. It does make them stick out forwards a little more (since they are not pushed to the sides) but that's not a concern. I love it, and it makes everything fit MUCH better.

I tried the Breezies from QVC and I think I may have to send it back. It had the pointiness thing I did not like, and it pushed my breasts too far apart. It was also very itchy. I am sure it was just the style I chose. I haven't made 10 posts yet so I can't link it, but it's item number A35017 on the QVC website. I'll keep trying!

Also, I had recently been using a 38DD and felt like maybe I should go down a little in size. A 36DD wasnt available at the store I was at the other day, so I tried a 38D and thats why I posted that initially. It was ok but I am thinking maybe I should go to a 36DD instead..there is a little bit of a bulge in the center now. =( after going to a few sites, I noticed a 36DD isn't a common size..

I'd really recommend getting fitted if you're not certain of size. Lots of websites have 36DD - I'm 34DD and although I rarely see bras my size outside specialty stores, there are lots of places online to get them. Try figleaves.com, barenecessities.com or herrom.com. All have a good selection and will have plenty in 36DD. But I really would recommend getting fitted first - if you're lucky you can find styles in a store that are then cheaper to order online.

I'm having trouble buying the right size because I think I'm in denial about losing my breasts..

I used to be a 38 Full C almost D... and now I'm an itty bitty 32 Barely B... its really sad because I still want to buy like I am a C... I have yet to find a bra that fits especially since most stores carry few choices in 32s... :/

It's really worth the time and effort to get professionally fitted - the fitter will know what's available and will make your girls look great!

i found a decent sports ones most comfy - less jiggle from the crepe boobies :O
