It's really good that you're engaging your daughter in exercise, it will be much easier for her if you introduce her to a healthy lifestyle now. It's hard for me because my parents have always eaten very unhealthy and do not exercise at all, but they don't have to necessarily, because they have always been at healthy weights. However, my mother has high blood pressure now and needs to be dieting and exercising, but she says "I'm not fat, so I shouldn't have to do all that...." anyway, it's good that you're getting your daughter to live healthily! ;)

Is the DVD good for someone like me who needs to get into shape(I have been pretty sedentary). I am very overweight and have no energy. Would you recommend this DVD to someone like myself or should I start with something else first?

Also how much room(floor space) do you need to follow along with the DVD? And do you need to buy any other items such as free weights and such?

Hi Jen!

I'm sure you will be able to do it. Bob instructs during the DVD that if the moves are too difficult, you can modify them, and he has one of the others demonstrate it.

It helps to have free weights when you do the strength and sculpt part. Start with 2# weights and work up from there. I need to get the next weight up soon--2# are getting too easy!

Best of luck!

Is there any jumping around involved? My ankles and knees are so weak that I dont think I could do it.

Jen415 01-20-2006 09:26 AM

HI anita....there is jumping, but Bob helps you modify the moves if you have bad knees (I modify them mostly).

Thanks Jen! I will look for the DVD today at Walmart.

Great, I was just popping in here to see about the whole joint issues too. My knees don't work for jumping and running yet either. I think I'll go ahead and order it right now.

I bought it at Walmart. I cant wait to get started on it.

Great! Let us know what you think of it! Believe me, you will see a change in only a week!

Kamily828 01-21-2006 06:53 PM

Hello All!

I got the DVD last night and WOW, I love it!

Nori71 01-24-2006 11:41 AM

OK, I just did workouts #1 & #3 - and it's great. My knees are a little weak when it comes to lunges though. Gotta really watch that my knees don't go out over my toes. I like it.

Right now I'm in El Salvador, so I can't find the DVD or the book, but last night my hubby came home with a package. He had ordered the DVD and the book for me! I'm going to try it out tonight! So excited!

How long is each workout? Also what category would this fall under on FitDay?
