Can you believe it's Dec 1st already. Wow.

It's a great time to lose a bit more before all the holiday parties and Christmas is upon us. And a good way to inforce good habits into the new year.

I shall now take my own advice and form new habits....or shall I say old forgotten oned

I'm hoping for nicer weather it's been low -20 with -30 to -35 with windchill...brrrrrrrrr

Have a great week everyone.

Jacky- Hard to believe its that cold and you live there. I feel cold here in CQ and its 9 Celsius. Don't forget our exercise challenge to each other this week. I'm shooting for 3 workouts for myself.

Hope everyone else gets off to a good start for week 5. I'm happy to be seeing loses of any kind since the challenge started. This is why this is so important to me and helps me stay focused and encouraged. Even though the group is so much smaller this challenge, it is still so vital for me that I have accountability outside of my own mind. Thanks for being here everyone!

Anyone around this week? Hope everyone is having a good one and getting back on plan after Thanksgiving if you stepped away from plan for that. Things are good here. I'm not feeling great today so I plan on going home early from work this afternoon to rest. Food is still totally on plan. In week 3 of atkins extended induction right now and doing good. Counting down the days until my February holiday. Less than 60 days to go and then the bf and I are heading to the US to spend a month in Texas with my family and cruising the western carribean the day after Valentine's Day. So excited! I can't wait!!!

shan84 do you mind sharing how many carbs per day you eat? Right now I am eating healthy and counting calories but am considering a low carb diet if I hit a dreaded plateau. I would research a low carb diet before I did it but I am curious how low people go.

I'm doing an extended induction so I get 20g of carbs per day and 12-15 of those have to come from veggies. Hope that helps.

Hey,

Atkins induction is the first phase and it is definitely low carb, but you add carbs back in as you move through the different phases. I am doing an extended induction though because I have so much to lose and because so far I am not bothered by the limited variety of foods. If I was, I could move into a new phase, but I'm good where I am. Actually being in China with poor quality vegetables I struggle to get 20g of carbs a day from my food choices. One day they might have good veggies for salads, but three days later and there is nothing but a cucumber and a tomato. Ah, China how I love thee.

How is everyone doing? I'm still totally on plan but waiting for a whoosh to happen this weekend before weigh in cause right now I'm not seeing any loss yet. Need to pick up the exercise to stay on point with Jacky I'm sure.

Haha. I wish I could count working as hard as I do as a teacher for exercise but honestly I don't spend a lot of time doing hard exercise at work. I count my walking all the time for taxis as exercise especially on days like today when I will probably have to walk an hour or longer to find a taxi. Will do some pilates later this weekend too. That's my plan anyways.

I am taking the weekend off from my healthy eating diet I am on My weekend is jammed packed with parties and helping someone move. I am going to do my best with trying to keep with small portion sizes and no pop. I haven't drank pop or anything besides water in 5 weeks so hoping not to start this weekend. It is going to take some serious will power not to drink pop I am sure my Sunday weight in will not be good
