Blue Team Frozen Fiesta 2013 Chat Thread Week 8 (Feb 25/13 - Mar 03/13)

Welcome to week 8

Posting a little early as I have a lot to do today and don't want to forget:-)

I hope you all had a great week seven and bigger and better for the coming week as well

I'm getting terrified I leave in less than a week now for an all inclusive week in Jamaica although I should be looking forward to this I'm so scared as my moods are really taking a toll on me...that's when I make my own food.....now stick me in a Buffett setting for all meals and within the first day I won't fit in a bathing suit and ill be *****y and depressed. Why must I still love food so much. They say 28 days makes a new habit.....how long have I been doing these challenges...lol

Well anyway here's to another week of staying on program.

It was another busy week on this end but I can finally see the light at the end.... or what appears to be the light at the end.... now I'm more than ready to be with hubby in the new house. A couple more runs to the goodwill and getting a few more things sold and that'll be it.

Have a great week 8 Team !

Congrats to everyone on the blue team! Hope everyone's week is off to a great start!

Misti in Seattle 02-26-2013 01:08 AM

Hi everyone

Well, our team has certainly dwindled down to just a handful of us, but I guess we can just continue to focus on the positive and that we are still here LOL

Congrats to the winners.

It is awsome that we are still pulling ahead with so few members! I am excited to say that this morning i woke up and weighed myself (bad habbit i know but it keeps me motivated!) and i found myself at the lowest weight i have been in a long time 207!!!!! 8 pounds til onederland!!!!

good luck this week everyone!!!

hiddenstar 02-26-2013 09:59 PM

Thats great, 18young. What a good motivation.

Our numbers may be small but we are strong.

Misti in Seattle 02-27-2013 06:31 AM

LOL well I disagree that it is a bad habit to weigh yourself in the morning :) but to each her own LOL. But 18young, glad you got good results.

18young 02-28-2013 08:22 AM

It seems like i always struggle after having a good week. This week the scale went down to 206 yesterday and not today it says 209!!! WHAT! I didnt even cheat yesterday or anything. Im really hoping its because I had a little more salt than usual and so im retaining. Im still trying to figure out how my body likes to lose, do i need more food? I cant eat less my calories have been under 1000 for the past week. and i havnt been eating even close to my weight watchers points. Maybe thats the key.

bethbeth 02-28-2013 08:59 AM

18young - under 1000 calories does not sound like enough. I think you really need more calories per day. Healthy calories of course!

Jenile4 02-28-2013 11:21 AM

18young- I agree with bethbeth... 1000 calories isn't enough to fuel your body. I know I try to aim for around 1500.. with a total range from 1200-1900 depending on my exercise for the day. I'm sure the gain is only temporary due to retaining water. But I know how frustrating it can be to see.

I sometimes drive myself crazy with the scale... I weigh every day... but it is interesting to look back at the overall pattern from a couple of months. Sometimes I will stay the same weight most of the week... and then I'll have a quick drop. I also always seem to have a small gain right before losing a larger amount. Seeing the trends have helped me to deal a little better with all the fluctuations.

Bigmid- Hope you are getting ready to have a wonderful time on your vacation! Enjoy yourself.. but maybe you can also make time each day to get some exercise. Walk the beach... head to the spa for a workout ... swim/hike. It might make you feel more relaxed about all the eating options.

I am SO hoping that this next weigh in I might finally see 199 on the scale! Its going to be close... i've had a couple more days where I went off plan with my eating... but I have been getting my exercise every day.

I'm so happy....I managed to lose a pound this week! It was a bad week. I was sick, so not able to exercise. My goal for February was to lose 5 pounds, and I lost 7! Wahoo! :dancer:

Jenile4 03-01-2013 04:08 PM

Congrats bethbeth! Its always exciting to lose more than you think you are going to. Hope you are feeling better!
