Thanks LeslieB! If you don't mind I'll be an honorary member of this team! :)
I just got back from a 1.5 mile walk on the treadmill. It was all I had time to do during my lunch break! Hopefully I will get more walking in tonight after work! |
LeslieB : Hope you feel better soon. regarding my job is not demanding at all, but i had some old papers that were urgent,
|
Hi all,
Leslie im feeling significantly better thank you, sorry to hear you have also been unwell, glad you are on the road to recovery! QuilterinVA do you mind me asking what you did to your foot on the treadmill? That is my main form of exercise atm. Glad to hear you can exercise again ;) Rachaelm 40 pounds ... WOW! Congratulations! Cannot wait to hit a milestone number :carrot: Best of luck everyone :) |
It's been a crazy week with a 6 am job interview yesterday morning (I think I got it, fingers crossed) and a teething baby :( Poor kid! So, that means very little sleep for me!
Had a great workout on the treadmill this morning at the gym, but I wish it could've been longer--and that's funny, because I used to be terrified of flying off the treadmill and getting hurt, so I avoided it like the plague  And, my happy news for this morning is that I'm at exactly 95 pounds down, whoo hoo! 100 lb loss, I'm coming for you! :D |
Good morning Blue Team !
Yesterday was a good day. I'm steadily feeling better and better so hopefully I'll be pretty much as good as new when I get back to the gym again. I managed to get out of the house a couple of times and see a few friends which is always fun. Also made an appointment to see the dietitian today so will assess how things are progressing with her. Other than that it should be a pretty quiet day. HealthyMeWannabe - Yay the treadmill ! Doesn't it make you feel good to get that workout in? Lyla - Thanks... I'm feeling much better. Hope you have a great day. Tkkoz - Glad to hear you're feeling better too. rainydays - Fingers are crossed for you on the job front. Sorry to hear about the baby... hope it doesn't last long. Isn't exercise amazing? 95 lbs. is amazing ! Looking forward to seeing you reach that 100 lb mark. Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? Have a great Friday all.. and let's kick some butt this weigh-in ! |
Leslie, thanks! He's 9 months old and still has lots of teeth to go, so it'll be awhile on that front. I'm just glad there's only one of him, cuz going through this with my twins was twice as tough! Yes, exercise is really great, I just love how it makes me feel. Glad you and Tkkoz are feeling better!
Weekend--might do a little shopping. I just bought a new pair of black dress pants for my interview--size 7/8, I nearly swooned! Anyway, I need some more clothes that fit, so might buy just a couple of sale items. Everyone's doing great, keep it up! |
Rainydays - Sorry about your little one teething. I bet he's cranky. Good luck on the job! I'll cross my fingers for you! :)
Today's my official weigh in for my office's Biggest Loser challenge. I am down 3.6 pounds this week! Yay! It's not much but is a step in the right direction! |
Hi team! Congrats to takingcontrol and all our losers for keeping it up this week! You guys rock! Hope everyone's geared up for weigh-in this week!
I'm finally over my cough that I thought was never going away, and will be celebrating with a 2-hour hike tomorrow if the weather holds up! Hope all the other sickies in the group are getting over your various bugs - get well soon! Also heading back to work this week after the long Chinese New Year break, so I'll be super-busy again with both work and theater projects. I won't be getting much exercise, but I also won't be sitting around all day. My main issues with times like these is actually food, since I tend to neglect meals during busy periods, and eat a lot of junk on the run. Have to stay vigilant! LeslieB: Thanks for the water challenge! I'm trying to keep up my water intake again, and to that end, have pulled out my giant 1.5-liter Nalgene and am aiming to finish it every day. I've begun adding reconstituted lemon juice to it, so it tricks me into thinking I'm having a caloric drink! HealthyMe: Welcome! Definitely participate in the forums so we can all keep each other motivated! I know it helps me to keep up with what everyone else is doing, even if I get to busy to post much during the week! RachaelM: Congratulations! I'm feeling jealous and motivated at the same time. :) Have a love weekend, everyone! |
Glad everyone seems to be doing well. I think we're going to win again this weekend. I just have a feeling. Lol
Day nine back on plan and I'm finally being rewarded on the scale. Hoping to put forth a big number on Sunday. :) |
Evening ladies. Quick run by posting because it's late and I need to get to bed. Just had a NSV today I wanted to share. My new job is casual so today I decided to pick up a new pair of jeans at Ross. 16!! I was so happy when they slid on and buttoned right up. Of course it's whatever the brand is because I tried on a different pair of 16s that were too tight, but whatever! It's been soooo long since I've been in that small a size jeans. I also got a few new tops, one of which was from the misses section and one was from the juniors. Moving into XL instead of 1X feels awesome. =)
I hope you all have a great weekend! |
Congratulations to all our winners, er losers!!!
You all are inspiring me along. Last July, I was exercising along so well, lifting weights, doing 30" on the elliptical, but I was so discouraged. My thyroid was not well controlled and no matter how good I was, no weight loss. Now that my thyroid is leveling off (now on Armour Thyroid) and I'm replacing some other deficiencies, it is so much easier now to lose. Still an effort, but my efforts are working and of course I very well know that if I got back to the exercise, I would be doing so much better. Sorry all I can say I have done is 5" on the elliptical, but . . . its something. Hearing Kim's NSV really was inspiring . . . I would love to be a 1X again and size 16? Awesome!!! You should be so proud, Kim. You and all our losers. Thank you all for coming here and letting us know how losing weight makes you feel. Emotions are a big part of this for me, which I'm working on through therapy and biofeedback, which if anyone is interested, they can read it at my blog. What a long, strange trip it's been . . . Thanks again team!!! |
A really stressful busy week here this week. It's seen me rather off target, eating the wrong things and not exercising enough. I'm really hoping I won't record a gain in the morning, but not holding out much hope! I'll be really disappointed after last weeks loss if I end up messing it up.
Whatever happens, uni term starts on Monday, so I can get in a proper eating, exercise and life routine again, which should hopefully help not have any more weeks like this one for a long time! Good luck to everyone for weigh in. Sorry for the lack of personals, I'll be back involved again next week :) |
Happy Saturday Blue Team !
I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far and sticking to your plan... including lots of water. I am feeling almost back to normal... still have a rattle in the lungs but it's much better and getting less and less by the day. I had an appointment with the dietitian yesterday and it turns out all the weight gain from the vacation has been water weight. As of this morning I'm even down 1 lb. from the weight I was the day we left for Hawaii. It's surprising but in a good way. Today hubby and I intend to have a quiet day and get ready to hit it big time again next week. He's planning on joining the triathlon team at our gym... such an inspiration for me to think about how far he's come and he's persuing a dream. HealthyMeWannabe - 3.6 lbs is awesome !! Congratulations !! slowrunner - Glad to hear you're feeling better. How was the hike? Lambiechop - 9 days ! Well done ! You are rockin' it ! TooManyDimples - Congratulations on the NSV ! Doesn't it feel good when the old clothes don't fit anymore. Doragone - Glad to hear you're finding what works for you. Thyroid really plays havoc with the body... you must feel so much better now that it's regulated properly. takingcontrol - There is something to be said about having a routine. Sorry to hear about your rough week but you can do this ! Have a great rest of the weekend team... let's finish off strong and have a good weigh-in ! |
Everyone's doing so great!!
I'm down a little, but still on prednisone... My legs are so swollen, I can feel my socks! I never felt like this before, I don't think it was this bad after I had my son. I keep drinking water in hopes that when I stop taking the meds, it will go away. |
Hi all,
Leslie, does this challenge run the entire year? I didnt see that in the Q & A area and would like to set a goal to keep my mind on the prize :) I'm so glad for you that your holiday weight was water weight and that you have recorded a loss :) Rainydays, 95 pounds ... Simply amazing, a huge congratulations to you :bravo: healthyme, 3.5 is great, i'm up 2 this week after my illness and would grab your loss any week. Well done! Toomanydimples, WOW! im sure you felt amazing fitting into a smaller jean size :carrot: Best of luck blues :) |
