~ Don't apologize! It's all part of losing weight...

Tambolina & Aclai
~ CONGRATS!!!

So far so good today. Not the biggest loss this past week, but I just found a TON of new recipes I want to try this week and CAN try because my parents will be gone all week. Unfortunately my parents only like meat, potatoes, vegetable... same thing almost every night... so I rarely get a chance to try something new. Now that I'm trying to exclude all meat and limiting my carbs, I'm having a really hard time planning meals with them. I love meat. LOVE meat. But unfortunately I love meat too much, and even with watching what I eat, I've still been eating too much meat. SO, I'm trying to go without until Oct. 29 and then will slowly reintroduce. Carbs, the kind of carbs I like are BAD, so I'm trying to eat ONLY good carbs. I haven't set a time limit on that one yet, but I'm thinking that I may push to Thanksgiving with that one.
I'm rambling
Happy Monday!!!

Hello red team, hope everyone is doing well.

Thanks for asking KimL1214, I am still not feeling so good.

On the mend I hope to feel better in a few days.. Doctor said I have a sinus infection and double ear infection.. She ran some blood work to test a few different things, Thyroid, white blood cell count, and I have had a rash for awhile so she checking the blood work for a few different causes.. I think it is eczema. The new cream she prescribed seems to be helping..

I posted a gain this week. I know my exercise hasn't been on track with the back injury and now being sick. I feel so stuck and its starting to be discouraging. I think it was June sometime that I saw 188 and now four months later I am still in the 180's. The lower end of it but still... 4 months and about nine pounds later really isn't what I was hoping for..Oh well, I am going to suck it up and keep trying..

sha25- Hope you feel better soon. Nine pounds is great even if it takes four months! Just keep at it.

Hopefully things are finally settled here. I was able to get to the Y after work today so I think maybe I have found my new routine. I don't know how the weight loss will go but hopefully it will start again soon.

Kim-yay for new recipes. Any chance you can try doubling one & freeze the extras so you have something healthy choices when your parents get home?

Sha- don't get too discouraged. I was stuck at 160 for 4 months. But then I started looking at it like maintenance- my body just getting used to this new weight. Let it adjust the hormones & metabolism accordingly and when it's ready -it will start losing again. For this challenge, my focus has been on portion size.

Terapet-good for you on figuring out a new routine and for getting to the gym, something I need to do - I miss my step/pump aerobics.

Shan- bummer on the weight gain. But you've lost it before & it CAN be done again!

Leslie-5lbs! Excellent job!

Have a great evening ladies

I'm so sorry for not being accountable. I spent Sunday morning cooking for church, and then the whole day at church. Once I got home I completely crashed. My weight has been fluctuating a lot here lately. I never realized how much I bloat.

Serval87~ You're here, you're posting, that's important, no worries! How did the church function go?

CanadaMel
~ There is a recipe for Caramelized Onion and Mushroom Lasagna that actually includes instructions for how to freeze if you double, so I'm going to try that Thursday night as I have Thursday off and it's a long prep recipe. How are you doing?

TERAPET~ Great job getting to the Y yesterday!

sha25
~ 9lbs. down is still 9lbs. closer to where you want to be! I hope you feel better soon

So I'm trying Grilled Margherita Portobello Mushrooms and roasted veggies for dinner tonight. I'm SUPER excited!!! It'll be a later dinner because I'm going for a hike with one of my co-workers (I WILL remember batteries this time!!!) and have to go to another town to get the mushrooms. I saw a small drop in numbers this morning, which is good since we still have a few days before weigh in, I'm hoping to see more before the end of the week! The sooner I see some new numbers, the better I will feel about changing my eating habits so much...
Happy Tuesday!

Thanks All!! I have been working hard and met my goal to be in the 150's by the weekend (which was also my b-day) so I tried really hard to be good. Had a bad weekend though... drank a little, didn't pay too much attention when I ate out although I did get salad and stayed away from the bread. I am still 159.8 this morning so didn't do too much damage. Next mini goal is to be in the 140's by the end of the month. I should be able to sign the 20lbs loss wall by next week.

Fall is such a hard time for me because I lOVE comfort food (mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, etc) so I am going to power through, step up my workouts, and remember that we are going on vacation this winter and I want to be the HOTTY in a swimsuit.

For those that posted gains, stick with it...life is about ups and downs. Challenge the ups with some hard work, mental focus and celebrate the downs by sticking with your program.

Congrats to our losers!

Sorry I missed WI this week, new classes just started. No loss this week anyway, no gain either.
