We are not doing the same things all 5 days. 3 days I go workout with my sis and friend so we are doing cardio and then weights together, but on the other 2-3 days I am either doing extra cardio on my own or walking the outdoor tracks or swimming with the kids. It's not bad, since the other days are usually fun days with my kids so it doesn't feel like working out.

So this is something that will be better in 2 weeks? Or it's more permanent? Sounds painful, glad you got it looked at.

Wow it's been quite here guess we all need the new challange to begin soon. Well it's weigh in day tomorrow and I am hoping to stay the same as last week but thinking I will have a gain. I exercised 3 times yesterday for a total of 1.45hr usually it's every day for 1hr and I still can't seem to lose and I'm hungry so not sure what's up. I am scared to up my WW points as if I can't lose at the points and lots of exercise what will the increase do to me. Hope you are all having a great day.

Purplefly- According to the doctor right now I need to rest it for two weeks. He's not saying it will go away, but it might get better. He thinks I was pushing myself to hard...which if I'm honest I would agree. I went from working out 3 hours a week, to working out 3 hours a day Mon-Fri, and an 8 hour hike on Saturdays. So yeah, I feel like I kind of sabatoged this one. But, it will be ok. I just have to be more careful and probably interject a few more rest days into my week.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I went shopping yesterday and running around town. Between all the walking around I made my knee feel worse. So last night I called it a night early, propped my knee up and went to sleep. I'm going to rest today as it is Sunday here. Just do some household chores and get ready for next week. My personal trainer is changing my program to upper body workout for the next 2 weeks so I can get some kind of exercise in. I'll let you all know how it goes tomorrow.

Cape Breton Chick 05-02-2010 10:40 AM

Morning Ladies.. So sorry for being MIA this past week.. but as I explained earlier in this thread I am taking a Developmental Psychology course in a span of 7 weeks while working full time and I have been kind of a crazy person this past week trying to get organized and finding that perfect balance.. either way the course material is winning lol
The Blue Team Final Results are up.. and as I asked for patience in all of this due to my crazy schedule right now, I want to thank all of you for being so patient with me!
I hope everyone is getting comfortable and settling in.. and keeping on keeping on with their plans!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends. I'm gearing up- getting ready to go into work.

Shan- sorry to hear about the knee. Any swimming pools nearby? great for non-weight bearing workout. Sending speedy recovery vibes your way.

Holding steady here with a half-pound loss, so feeling pretty good. Enjoy your Sunday!

You can actually plateau from not eating enough. The harder you workout the more nutrients you need to keep your body healthy and happy. If you are feeling hungry then you probably need to increase the points some.

yeah, that is a big increase in exercise! 3 hours a day is a lot.

Bigmid 05-02-2010 02:06 PM

Hi everyone, I didn't do so well I am up 1.2 this week and I had 3 workouts for 3 days this week and 2 on all the others.

purplefirefly - I may just have to bite the bullet and try to increase food and see if that help. thanks

shan84 - I hope your knee feels better soon

Mercy03, Soon2BFitChick, ars, CanadaMel - Hello

me4life - Welcome back to the challanges

CapeBretonChick - Just wondering how the final totals are calculated. From starting weight to finishing I lost 20.2lbs you have me down for 14....do the gains somehow factor into that total even though in the end it is 20. Just curious.

Off to do some shopping have a great day.

Cape Breton Chick 05-02-2010 04:00 PM

Hi Bigmid.. yea the gains play a part..as all the weights are put into a spreadsheet each week and the final loss number is the sum of every weigh in... it is a percentages game... it works out to a balance of each weeks weigh in .. the spread sheet does the calculations, we just add the weights and the formulas. :)

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's Monday here in SK. Back to work. Ugh! And we have middle school students this week which I absolutely detest. Oh well. I'll do my best to get thru the week. Going into the gym today after work to hit up a session with my personal trainer. She knows I can only do upper body stuff so I'm sure I will be hurting by the time I go to sleep later tonight. Haha.

Take care ladies. Be back later. :)

ars 05-02-2010 10:07 PM

Ugh, I am having the worst salt cravings right now. TOM is no where in sight, so I have no idea why. I actually gave in and had some lightly salted chips that were in the house. Well, it was more than some, but I am still within my calories...just not a very nutritious day overall.

It was so hot and humid today...I just know between that and the salt, I have some serious water retention issues on the horizon!

I hope everyone is well.

I have found that even adding a few nuts to a snack or some extra veggies on salads, etc. can boost calories to make a difference...you know, make sure it is healthy stuff your body needs. Maybe it will work, who knows the way our bodies work.
