It's a rainy day here so I've plunked my butt in front of the sewing machine and have been hemming pants, making snack bags, and was trying to finish up the princess dress for my neice until the sewing machine crapped out on me. Grrrr. I love to sew, but hate to tinker around with the stupid thing trying to get the stitches right.

I haven't ate much today...but haven't done much either. If it stops raining I'd really like to go out for a walk. If not, maybe I"ll just stick the boys in their rubber boots and go out anyways! :p

Hi everybody, the test went OK. I have a really good GPA (3.8) but I said to my friend going in that if I got a C on the test I would be happy, she felt the same way (it is a HARD test and a HARD class and a HARD professor but my favorite one). Our teacher generally grades on a bit of a curve, so I figured I would at least get a C on my own. We got done, and we were kinda chatting afterward. Everyone kinda gave a sigh of relief. I had said the class before that I had cried a bit in frustration while studying, so I said, "Well, at least nobody cried." And then my friend busted into tears. She thinks she failed.

I felt really bad, both because I said "at least nobody cried" and because I'll probably get better than a C and she probably will get a D-, and I'll have to tell her what I got (we have a full disclosure thing going on)

Just checking in! It was a lovely day out today...and I had to work through all of it! I even had a meeting during lunch hour. I keep a folding chair in my car trunk for days like this, and if it weren't for that meeting I could have sat in the sun for an hour and relaxed or taken a nice walk. Oh well, another day.

My terrible cravings are better today, thank goodness! I hope everyone is doing well! Have a nice night!

I'm here! I'm OP. I miss you guys... :( I have been staying very busy. No, no ranch here. Just 9000 sq ft of yard with a few trees but raking it all pulls up dead grass too so half of it was that! and limbs from the crape myrtles, sp?? Anyhoo, thanks weebles for the info on my maters, they are growing bigger! I either put my little fan on them some or even blow on them when I walk by them, lol. Or open the window when it's nice. Hasn't been real sunny or warm so hate to put them outside yet. So far I haven't lost any weight this week but figuring I may have put on a little muscle? :D

I am going now to watch Survivor. I love Russell and Rob etc and gotta root for them!! Imma walk on the treadmill, been busy all day so it's almost 11pm and mayyyyybe now I can exercise! LOL! :woops:

Been at baseball for 3 hours. If I didn't wanna watch my kids play I'd go walking the whole time but I can't! I must see them! I see people walking but I can't miss my babies playing!! :bb:

Ok, take care, big hugssss!! :df:
Selina

I hate sugarfree jello, but there are just some nights where the constant niggling for food just won't go away. My logic is that if I tell my brain 'it's jello or nothing' then it'll either shut up or put up with having something I find average. I think this makes me sound like a crazy person...

I love this :D

weeble - Way to go on doing good on your test! It's a shame your friend found it so hard, but I guess someone has to be on the lower end of the curve... Try not to feel bad for saying what you said. After one of my exams in January I came out and said to my friend (who's birthday it was) "Happy birthday! I got you a nice easy exam! How did you find it?" and she burst into tears on me.... awkward. She is always getting higher marks than me (and actually got a distinction on this exam in the end anyway) so I just assumed she'd be coming out happy. Whoops.

ars - Hope the cravings stay at bay! My head won't shut up this week and just wants sugar, which is starting to get very hard to ignore...

Soon2B - Missed you! Getting exercise in at 11pm is some serious dedication!

Hope everyone is feeling great!xx

I weighed in at 188 this morning, woo! Down 3.5 lbs this week! It has been so tough to stay POP through all the stress of work, essays, interviews and family gatherings but I have somehow survived it all. More stressful situations next week, so I hope I can keep this momentum up! :jig:

Cape Breton Chick 03-12-2010 06:14 AM

Just poppin in for a quick good morning... and to grrrr at my scale just a little bit.. I have been on plan all week and exercised every single day with Biggest Losers Last Chance Workout, and I have gained! I know that it is probably muscle and I shouldnt stress because if I stick to it, next week I should probably see a loss.. but sighhhhh its hard not being frustrated...
But.. heres hoping maybe by Sunday... lol I hope you all have a great Friday! See you all later!

Soon2BFitChick 03-12-2010 10:07 AM

Angela, I bet you lose later. When I did those two solid days outside raking I stayed up 3 lbs for a week! Now I'm down again and down .5 lbs for this week so far. Finally. So don't worry!! You are doing great!! :cp:

Thanks, Dayone. You are inspiring me!! I can't believe you are down 3.5!! OMG!! I would love that!! I just did 15 mins on treadmill and did arm and leg exercises bc was watching Survivor with dh this morning. If I'm held captive by tv then I'm SURE using that time to exercise!! I feel good tho! So yay!! :strong:

Did get to do some last night too while watching American Idol. Yay, my faves are still there!! :dancer:

We heard some good news on our boys. Our worker talked with a supervisor and said they don't see why we can't get them asap!!! Everything seems to be in order and just waiting to talk to another higher up today. We are going to Fiesta TX Six Flags in San Antonio with the kids and Seaworld this next week so hopinggggg they can go with us!!! (Still leary because they've said this before but we can always hope!!) :bb:

Ok, gotta go! Lots to do, hugssss!!

Selina

weebleswobble 03-12-2010 10:21 AM

Dayone--too funny about the birthday test. People are funny and it's so hard to read them...thanks for thinking of that experience for me. She and I had a talk later on and she assured me that I couldn't possibly have known, she was trying to hide it...and she had had another midterm the night before and was just completely strung-out from taking two tests. I just told her I felt so bad for "setting her up"....poor sweetie.

babygrant 03-12-2010 05:07 PM

AF is here.....4 days late and worse than ever. Haven't ate much today because I'm too nauseated and my exercise today is walking from the couch to the washroom. Laying on the couch with a hot water bottle. :(

retiredone 03-12-2010 09:24 PM

My laptop is dead and I don't know when I'll be getting a new one. I'm using DS's at his place but he lives 4 hours away so that's too far to go everyday. :D So if I'm not around I will be eventually. I'll have to use a neighbors computer to weigh in next week if I still don't have a new laptop. Or I can go to the library. Just know I'll be thinking of my blue team even if I'm not posting.

Why is it that when we get close to our goal weight we go off on an eating binge? It's like a celebration of sorts and that 2 pounds lost and I have to start over.

I hear ya. I'm not even close to my goal weight, but I am a binge eater...probably always will be. Not sure how to fix it. :(

Cape Breton Chick 03-13-2010 08:03 PM

mageorge 03-14-2010 08:37 AM

WAHOO! Finally the scale is showing how hard I have been working...-3.2 pounds this week! Who would have thought that by eating more food, you would lose more weight! Hope everyone has a great Sunday, mine has started off fantastic! :carrot:
