Hi Ladies!

I've not been doing as well as I would like. I think it is a combination of TOM munchies, and my metabolism kicking into high gear from the running, but I've been wanting to eat everything in sight, and I haven't been too good at resisting. But I am going to do better, starting right now.

My exercise has been fine, though I haven't been able to run for a week. We got hit with 9-12 inches of snow Friday, so it has either been to dangerous to run, or we've been under 4 inches of melted snow. It looks like it is finally dry enough to run today, but it is suppose to rain. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that I can get in my run before it rains! But even with the weather problems, I've been hiting my target burn amounts, so it hasn't been all bad.

Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas for the Boost challenges?

Life is absolutely crazy... I am done with TOM and boy did it kill me this month.. I have PCOS so its never pretty.. i go to the DR on tuesday to discuss options cuz i can't function in that much pain...

I weighed in today at Herbal Magic and was down to 244.6lbs I was suprised as it has been crazy around here.. i started a Full time position and am moving on the 20th of feb.. so i haven't been 100% but i have been mindful... time to increase my water intake though because i can definately feel it...

This week will be another busy one here. I'm trying to cook without the use of my stove or microwave. The alternatives don't always lend themselves to healthy options, but I'm trying. I hope to finish the week well, so I at least don't have a GAIN, but it's hard to say right now. Sorry, guys!

Been on plan since Tuesday. LOL, much better than letting the whole week go. I made recipes for lunch/dinners and they taste awesome.

I worked out yesterday, and felt sorta tired/out of it. But I pushed through. I wonder if I didn't eat enough before the gym. Today, I'll have some yogurt with fruit and yogurt beforehand. That should take away the super tired feelings.

I also found a fun pumpkin bread recipe. It has chocolate chips and is about 6 WW points. I think I'll use it for breakfast next week, depending on how filling it is. I may skip the chocolate chips, in order to be healthy... not sure.

Have a great week, Red Team! Let's finish strong.

tricia - I hope you get everything sorted out with your Dr. I've been blest with extremely easy TOM, but I've been around those who struggle, and it is an ugly business. Congrats on the loss! If you can lose while in a transition period you'll be good to go once things settle down.

Ms Perception - How do you cook without a stove or microwave? Do you have a crockpot? They can be pretty handy, just throw a bunch of stuff in it in the morning, and it is ready in the evening.

Tamara - One day at a time. I'm on plan as of lunch. :o I did a lot of baking this weekend, and while usually I don't really have a problem with not eating my creations, I just kind of went crazy. Finished off the last snickerdoodles this morning, so I should be safe tonight. I love pumpkin bread. Are you able to get pumpkin? Apparently there was a catastophic pumpkin crop failure here in the US. Libby isn't going to have any pumpkin until August! I just about died when I found out. How am I suppose to make my famous white chocolate pumpkin spice cake?? I know I can substitute butternut squash, but if my coworkers find out they'll probably kill me! ;)

hey ladies!!

so with all my marriage drama (we'll be finalizing a separation agreement next week) and TOM (havent had one since October I think) I'm still down!!!

Aclai4067 02-05-2010 04:34 PM

Hey ladies. Well my weight jumped way up the day after the last weigh-in. At the time I thought it was just water weight but it's stuck with me all week. It came down slightly today, but it looks like I'm going to have a gain tomorrow. Ugh, I'm so frustrated!

cabinwife 02-06-2010 10:28 AM

Sounds like everyone has had a busy week, myself included. This is my busy season at work, so I haven't had time for much else. Somehow I pulled off a 4lb loss this week! I'm very excited about that since my weight loss has been pretty slow over the past few weeks.

We can do it Red Team!

Aclai4067 02-06-2010 03:53 PM

Apparently my body has finally decided to let go of all this post-knee injury weight gain. Kind of a woosh, which makes me nervous. I never trust unexpected, quick weight loss. But I'm down 1.4 this week and trying to enjoy it.

Ms Perception 02-06-2010 09:04 PM

Well, Monte, unfortunately, I've eaten like crap. I LOVE to cook, so it's like being severely challenged right now. My weight is up, my exercise is down and I'm strongly considering dropping out of this challenge since I'm doing SO poorly at the moment.
Sorry for my performance. I'm not the quitting kind, but it seems unfair to you all for me to be such a disadvantage to the team.

medinazarley 02-06-2010 10:44 PM

so workingthrough the marriage crap is taking a toll on me. still down for the week though! i'm just hoping i can keep it up. my life is so crazy!!! have i mentioned to ya'll that my internship site is hinting around about an open position?? That's kind of keeping me sane right now!! If i do get the job there's a gym in the basement of the building next door in the hospital campus and they offer zoomba, dance, spinning, etc. for free as long as you hit 6 classes a month!

I took another freebie this week. My doctor put me on another round of steroids for my RA so with that comes fluid retention and water weight. Winter is really hard for me physically and I may have to take another round of steroids in a couple of weeks. If I continue to retain fluid then I will just drop out of this challenge as I really dont wanna post weight gains on here lol!

New week is starting, let's put this one behind us and move forward like warriors with our swords out, going to slay all the fat! Let's go team...we need to this for ourselves...we need to do this so we can continue to care for and be with our loved ones...we need to do this to watch our children grow and hopefully see our grandchildren... let's go...let's go...let's go...slay that fat!

crcossel 02-07-2010 12:22 PM

Well I am sorry to report I am only down .2 today. Not a gain thankfully. I don't have a TOM (bc shot) but once a month I still get some symptoms and this week I have been so bloated my stomach is as hard as rock. Hopefully that means a big loss next week!

Hey Monte, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the encouragement. I managed to get back on track. Hopefully this week will be really good.

There's quite a few cans of pumpkin at my local grocery store. I remember the shortage, but I've always found it. It may be because I live in NY... easier to find stuff here sometimes.

Your spice cake sounds awesome. I may have to try that sometime.
