I almost forgot to start the new thread.

Hope you all had a great weekend. Mack and I hiked down to Deep Creek again on Friday and Saturday we went to Big Bear Lake.

The scales are moving again for me thanks to TOM and getting back on my regular schedule.

Anyone want to come up with a challenge for this week? Feel free to post one.

Hello everyone. Used my last freebie this week. Yikes! I've got to get myself in gear.

I'll be out of town the rest of the week. Hopefully do a lot of walking on the beach and swimming! Hope everyone has a good 4th.

HI All,
I hope everyone had a great weekend. It's finally cooled off a bit and the humidity dropped so it's pretty nice. I went out and tried to hoe in the garden this morning, but the ground is so hard. It dried out and is like a rock, but the plants are doing great. I had some fresh peas the other night, they were good. Peas aren't my favorite vege, but I do like shelling them, it is relaxing. Hopefully will have green beans by the end of the week or soon after. I have little green tomatos, and my cukes are blooming. The squash is growing nicely and it looks like the eggplants are about to bloom. I'll have lots of fresh veges soon. I've been eating lots of watermelon lately, it tastes so sweet and cold, yummy. I'll have to get one tomorrow.

Mikayla: Good job on losing 2 lbs, that's a good week.

RangerChic: I love taking pictures of my flowers, right now I only have oriental lilies blooming, but soon the day lilies will start and they are beautiful and last for most of the summer.

Well my *personal* challenge for this week will be to get rid of the 0.8 lbs the weight fairy blessed me with this week! I'm not sure what the problem is, but I'm thinking some real possibilities include eating foods with too much sodium, not drinking enough water, and I forgot to take my Armour for my thyroid a couple days in a row so maybe my body is reacting to that. Anyway, those are the first three areas I'm going to address. I don't care that it's less than a pound....IT MUST BE STOPPED!

Hi all~
Sorry I've not been around. Been looking for a part time job and had interviews this week and got one yesterday :carrot: My boys come back from Texas this evening so I'm very happy!! Took a freebie this week cause I spaced and didn't post my weight :sorry: I really will do better on getting here and posting. Later I'm going to plan all my workouts for the month of July, and recommit myself to myself. Things here are rocky and last night I told myself I just need to start taking care of me, getting strong physically and mentally. And that's what I'm going to do. :) Well I gotta go meet my new boss for some paperwork. I'll check in later this afternoon.

We are down to 27 members and of those eight (8) have already used their two (2) freebies. I just wanted to remind everyone that WI must be posted by 11:59pm (EST) on Monday. I do stats first thing Tuesday morning and if you have not posted a WI I have to use one of your freebies. After the third freebie you are dropped from the challenge.

I had to use my first freebie this week. TOM is appraoching and it has blessed me with like 4 extra pounds. I hate these fluctuations. Hopefully it will start to come off before next weeks weigh-in. I am still eating right, although I still have no fridge, and keeping up with my workouts.

Good Tuesday to you all. I just wanted to say that I am so proud of everyone for sticking with the challenge and continuing to loose. summer can be a rough time to lose weight. Everyone being so busy it is easy to grab that quick junk food just out of conveince. I am trying to stayaway from those simple options and If I must eat out I am eating green salads with proteins. I am also preparing foods in large quantities so I can have them available always.

I also realize the 4th of july is Saturday and that usually means cook outs/BBQ's and plenty of temptation. So this week, well today and the next 3 days I am going to stay on plan, drink at least 64 oz of water a day and increase my exercise by 10 minutes a day. At the holiday celebration I am going to stay away from processed foods, carbonated beverages, breads and sugars. So if I eat chickenor whatever protein I will not combine that with a bread and If I have to have something sweet I will stick with fruit or if I must indulge low fat frozen yogurt.

I'm doing pretty good this week - trying to keep count of my calories, and trying to get them under 2000 - its been hard though.

lol...really??? Anything over 3 lbs will usually put you in the top three.... 6+ pounds is off the charts!!! Congrats.

Been a crazy, long day. Had a dentist appointment and ended up being there for three hours. No fun. Then, I worked tonight. Decided to take the day off from working out so must get a good night's sleep so I can get my butt moving tomorrow morning!

I was getting into a semblance of a routine, but now it will be disrupted...but hope I'll be able to jump right back in next week.

I am back to work today and things are crazier than ever. Hard to wake up after 11 days straight of getting to sleep in. Now do keep in mind sleeping in to me is 8am. But I miss getting to stay in my PJ's already. It is like the first time I have ever worn shoes with heels. I guess I will make it for the next 2 days. I am off on Friday due to the 4th being on Saturday so that is great and something to look forward too. We were suppose to go camping but we are not going so I am happy about that. It is just a lot of preparation for 2 days out doors. The kids are all sad about it as we are not going anywhere for a real vacation this year. This summer has just flown by they actually will be back in school in a little over a month so they will be even devestated when they realized that. Anyway I better get to it.

Hey!!! THE NEW FRIDGE IS HERE!!!!! I am so happy to have a fridge again. We need to move a cabinet. It is 1 inch too low. Then need to run water line for the water/ice thing. That will be nice too. I may even drink more water. It is a real bummer how much stuff I have to replace now. It may take a while.

The scale was down a bit today. I don't "expect" to make any significant progress until after TOM.

Good luck to everyone with your 4th eating. I will start the day out with a 5k walk. Then some celebrating. Will try to be good.

That is GREAT news Mindy. I don't think I would be able to eat very healthy without a fridge.

So what plans does everyone have for the 4th?

We stay home because the dogs do not do well with fireworks and really don't like crowds.

Speaking of dogs if you have them please make sure they are not able to get out. The shelters will be full on Sunday with scared and lost dogs.

I am back from my two week trip to cali.. I had gained 3.5 lbs while i was there (threw everything out the window while i was there.. lol) but I've already lost the weight I gained plus some.. so I'm good now.. Ready to get back on track for good!

Cruise- Yep. One of my dogs hates fireworks, but he also hates thunderstorms. He is such a big baby. He's my 85 pounder. Nothing like your baby, but still big.

I am doing a 5k walk Sat. morning then hanging out with friends at night. The scale is just holding at around 187. Just waiting for TOM to roll through so I can see some loss.

Have a great weekend everyone. I am off to do my workout. A nice long walk and and arm workout.

My poor dog hates thunderstorms and fireworks too. The poor girl shakes and cries the whole time. :-( She needs doggy Valium.

For those with dogs that have anxiety you can find Rescue Remedy in most health food stores. I use it for many of my fosters and Tucker after he has a seizure.

What's everyone doing today? Me, I'm at work. But it's cool, things have been actually ok at work for the last two weeks. I actually don't care anymore, I'm career now so the kiddie gloves are off! :lol: I'm making my holiday money today and I took off for tomorrow. Sounds like a great weekend to me. :)

Yesterday, Mrs. A took me around looking for apartments. They were all closed for the holidays but I got the names and numbers. I'm going to be calling about prices on Monday and Thursday, Mrs. A is taking me to go look at the ones I choose. I should be getting my TSP withdrawal around Thursday so I'll be able to put my deposit and first month's rent down (I'm not moving till August though).

I've been missing my mama's cooking like crazy lately. :(

Ugh, I didn't lose any weight this week. I think it might have to do with my TOM coming this week. Still, I want to get to 130 soon! :)

Greetings Everyone and happy HALF WAY POINT of our Summer Challenge. I scaled my goal back a little today from 125 to 130. Even with the adjusted goal I would have to lose more than twice as much weight in the second half of the challenge as I did in the first...I know I can do it though...just have to put my mind to it. Hope you all had a great forth and stayed out of trouble. Lots of love and good luck to you all in the upcoming week!

Congrats to all our losers this week! For once, I'm part of that group, down 2.2 this week. :D

I think it helps that I'm not stuffing myself at work. I just haven't had the urge. I guess because mentally I'm free from that place. So when the sups piss me off, I snap back then laugh! I'm also off alot this month. I took today off and three days the week after next for Sunshine's wedding. By the time I get back, it'll be towards the end of July. I looked on the schedule yesterday and realized that not only do I have the payday before my birthday off, I also have my birthday and the day after off! :carrot: Hopefully, when August comes around, I'll have another position, either in the hospital or somewhere else. :crossed:

Today's plans include lazying around the house, looking up apartments, and a little organizing.

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. Sorry I've not talked much, things are rocky here and obviously it's stalling any weightloss. So I'm about to go out and mow and I do have a walk planned for later. My mom sent me the book 2 week turn around from Prevention so I'm going to look at that and see if that can jump start me.
