Wow I am never going to keep up and I have been logging in twice a day. Anyways just thought I would drop in and say Good Morning Everyone!
Well my first WW meeting went good last night, I sat down when I got back and wrote down my menu for today and so far it will be good thru lunch as I will be taking my lunch to work with me. I am a little nervous because they don't seem to worry about sodium? They were talking about soups and stuff last night and I am thinking wow lots of sodium..... However I did not think of V8 for my vegetables because that could be a problem for me getting them all in daily. Well better head off to work have a great day :) |
Good mornin ladies :) I couldnt log in for some reason yesterday and when I got on today WOW I skimmed over the post and laughed my butt off about the DH & BF's YES ALL men think alike gotta luv 'em.
Had a very busy day yesterday but managed to stay OP ;) sometimes my days are 16+ hours long if I have photo shoots after my 9 to 5 :( but I will check in at least once a day, Im sure I will always be behind but I promise I will do my part to help our team win. Have a great day everyone!!!! |
Good morning to you all. I am feeling a bit better today, although I didn't get to bed early like I wanted to. I am playing catch up on my work and it seems never ending. I gave in to a bowl of ice cream last night-why oh why does food make me feel so much better? I need to find something else to replace my sorrows other than food!
It is a COLD day today it might even snow -YUCK-so I am not sure how the walk/run will go tonight, but I am still planning on it. Gonna get in a yoga workout before I weigh in this morning. Hey Dolphin you a photographer too? I used to do the 9-5 and then have photo shoots too plus the weekend photo shoots, I just recently gave up the 9-5 and still manage to work 16+ hour days. :) |

Its a warm WINDY day here! Last night I went for a bike ride and got in 10 miles! I am hoping to do it again today, if the wind doesnt blow me over! Have a great day! |

For veggie lasagna, I am always disappointed at the veggie lasagnas in the restaurants because of the low amounts of vegetables and the excess cheese. Sometimes I think that having a few flecks of spinach in the ricotta is what constitutes a vegetable lasagna at these places. :mad: So instead when I make it at home I just load up on the vegetables in the low-fat ricotta to give the lasagna some substance, and skimp on the fatty cheeses on top and througout the layers - I put some part-skim mozzarella & shredded parmesan, but definitely not as generously the do in the store or on TV. Vegetables I like to "beef" up the ricotta with include for sure mushrooms, carrots, onions, and green peppers, and then zucchini, spinach, and/or eggplant chunks, depending on what I have on hand. For the tomato sauce layers, I use the lower calorie pasta sauces found in the spaghetti sauce aisle.
I will try to post a more specific recipe regarding spices and preparation when I get a chance later this week. |

I LOVE roasted veggie sandwiches. My to-do list includes "find great whole wheat ciabatta recipe." Would be the perfect bread for roasted veggies. You ladies better get your ever-shrinking fannies in gear!! I've got almost $100 in my bank balance!! My x-husband has filed for an annulment through the Catholic church. Any experience with that?? He's also creating chaos with summer visitation and child support. Hummm . . . what would I do if he were standing on my street and I was driving my BIG TRUCK!!!!!???? lol. I took my waist measurement today and although I haven't lost any real poundage since we ended the last challenge, I have dumped 2" from my middle!! Taking measurements at this stage of the challenge is GREAT. If you hit a plateau or have a rough patch, it's an awesome way to measure how far you've come that has nothing to do with the number on the scale. |

I am so sick of snow. Our track season is well underway and I'm still having to battle with snow... gonna run outside and see if practice is a realistic idea for today...

I don't have a lot of time, but I wanted to drop in and say hi! I am taking the day off from working out today to celebrate my bday, but I will be hitting it extra hard tomorrow. My weigh-in is Friday and yesterday when I took a peak at the scale it looked like I have finally broken through my plateau (since Easter!). I don't want to risk that, so I will be eating as healthy as possible before I have a few bites of a brownie hot fudge sundae at CPK tonight! Have a great day everyone! Not much time right now. I hopped on the scale this morning and freaked out. Seems I gained like 5#'s overnight. I know it's water but it was not what I expected to see. I feel real bloated today so guess I better start drinking my lemon water to rid myself of it. Hopefully in a couple days it'll be gone. Getting my living room measured tonight for new carpet and the foyer and stairs measured for ceramic tile. I can't wait. DBF's ex really liked piink and she put mauve carpet throughout the house. A little bit goes a long way believe me!! Anyway, I'll check back in later. Will be doing the eliptical tonight and will log my $$ in the morning for today. Have a great day everyone. |
