So how about a little
Paris for your February love bug!
Ah... Paris... home of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and.... cheese?
Oui! Oui! France is very well known for its many many cheeses (stinky or not!)
Excursion #1 - Honfleur - $50
Enjoy the small town pleasures of Honfleur, located on the Flower Coast and known as the home of impressionist art. On this excursion you will:
* Depart the pier by motor coach and relax on this 45-minute scenic ride to the village of Honfleur.
* Visit this quaint town and learn about its glorious past and how it’s still a major center for arts and crafts.
* Enjoy a casual stroll around the quayside, with your guide, viewing its sidewalk cafés and interesting arts and crafts shops. Gaze at the unusual narrow timbered houses, which are a very unique heritage of this region.
* Enjoy free time to wander around this delightful village on your own, before returning to the pier and your ship.
Excursion #2 - Fecamp & Etretat - $100
Begin with a scenic 45-minute drive through the countryside toward Fécamp. Visit the Benedictine Abbey and Museum, a Gothic and Renaissance-style building which dominates the town and houses the secrets of the aromatic elixir first discovered by monks in the 15th century.
* Tour the museum and taste the renowned Benedictine liquor.
* Continue your panoramic drive along the coast to the beautiful resort of Etretat. See, from the white-sand beach, an impressive view of the chalky white cliffs and famous “arch and needle,” one of the most photographed landscapes in all of France.
* Learn that this astonishing architectural landscape was sculpted by the sea from countless years of constant bombardment by the pounding surf.
* Enjoy a short, guided tour of the village and then some time on your own, before reboarding your bus for the ride back to your ship.
Excursion #3 - D Day Landing Beaches - $175
* Begin with a motor coach drive from Le Havre to Caen and then to the beaches where the English landed at Arromanches.
* Learn that of the 3.1 million allied troops ultimately sent into action during the Battle of Normandy, more than half were Americans; and that D-Day was the beginning of the end of German occupation and dominance in Europe, and the United States played a huge role in securing allied victory.
* Visit the Landing Museum and listen to the story, by movie, of the D-Day assault and the incredible courage of this remarkable mission.
* Stop at a local restaurant for lunch, and then continue on to Omaha Beach, where some of the U.S. troops landed; their mission was to move inland and provide reinforcements for the forces coming from Utah Beach.
* Stop at the American cemetery in Colleville-St. Laurent and wander among the rows of white crosses. Reboard the coach and return to your ship.
Excursion #4 - Exclusive Chauffeured Limo Tour Through Paris - $250
* Ride in style with a fully chauffeured limo tour through the heart of Paris.
* Visit all of the most famous sites in Paris including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame & the Arc de Triomphe.
* Be treated to a gourmet lunch created by an award winning master French chef.

) This week we have BONUS $$!
Since we all need a bit more dairy... here's some neat info I bet you didn't know thanks to
www.3aday.org:
Quote:
Three servings of dairy provide a powerful package of nine essential nutrients including calcium, potassium, phosphorus, protein, vitamins D, A, B12, riboflavin and niacin (niacin equivalents) to help keep bones strong and bodies fit. Eating 3-A-Day of Dairy - three servings of milk, cheese or yogurt — is a deliciously easy way to help build stronger bones and healthy bodies.
The 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends three cups of low-fat or fat-free milk or milk products every day as part of a healthy diet. The Guidelines also state that adults and children should not avoid milk and milk products because of concerns about weight gain. Nutrient-rich dairy foods are a core part of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
