OK teamies - NO QUITTING - NO STOPPING - NO SLACKING - NO WHINING ABOUT SLOW WEIGHT LOSS OR GAINS!
We ARE going to do this! We ARE changing our lifestyles and learning better habits! We ARE making progress! We will NOT give up! We are gonna recapture our title next week! C'mon - let's get moving, and shaking, and make incredible choices this week. Regardless of whatever else is going on in our lives - we WILL stay strong! I'm gonna kick it up a notch this week! How about you? |
Woo Hoo! I did my run this afternoon with 10run/1walk intervals. I did have to slow it down just a bit more, but my body seemed to be handling it OK. 10 minutes is pretty huge in my book. The next run is supposed to be 20run 1 walk 20 run... um... I don't think so. I think I'll finish out the week doing 10 minute intervals and I'll think about doing that next week MAYBE.
The nice thing about running is I came home and entered the run in my food log (myfooddiary.com) and I basically canceled out the calories I had already eaten today. Gotta love that. Half the reason why I'm doing this crazy thing. We didn't feel like cooking tonight, so I tried the Freso Steak tacos from Taco Bell. They weren't too bad at only 160 calories each better alternative then a fast food burger. |

Nice going on the run. Hey and great choice in food too. Counting You are very right. I have 50 pounds less to lose today than I did May 9th. I am be better shape than I have been in years. I can see muscles that I haven't seen in forever lol. I have kicked it up a notch. I am doing three mile videos twice a day or two mile videos three times a day. Love some of the two mile videos like the kick and walk and the walk with faith. ksk Nothing wrong with a snack every now and then. Don't beat yourself up. You made a great choice not to have another piece. That is what this is all about. Terapet One step at a time. That is the way to do it. Sometimes we need to slow down and take baby steps. |
WOOOHOO Counting!! You tell em!...er me! LOL!
I did my run/walk again today! I've eaten totally on plan! I'm so stressed right now my stomach is sick. Tonight is the night we take on the parent group at my dd's middle school....STRESS!!! LOL! |

Hey girls, sorry I've been absent the last few days. Work has been really stressful with VISA coming out with it stock, the Fed dropping the rates again. There is no chance in you know what that I can get on during the day at work this week.
I posted a donut for this past weeks weight loss. I jumped on the scale this morning and I am down a pound!! I think that would be because I sweat away about a bucket last night when I was working out with Amy from TBL3. Holy buckets that girl knows how to work you! I kept up though and was finally able to do the spinning with no stops for adjustments! This is a first after 3 classes. Went I left last night my legs were really wobbly from the workout and of course I could not fall asleep until after midnight...I don't know if that was because of the workout or because of the 5 Hour Energy Shot I took...probably the Energy Shot  see if I take one of those at 5pm again! I hope everyone is having an awesome week so far. I need to go back and catch up, will try to do that tonight. Have a great day everyone! |
Good morning ladies~ Well it looks like today the sun may come out...that would make me really happy:) Yesterday was rough for me...I didn't binge, but it was the first time in 23 days that I had to urge to. I fought through it though and I feel all the better for it today. I tell ya the mind is a powerful thing. It scares me though that food can have that much control over me. I plan on talking a bit about that tonight at my OA meeting. I have to say I've slacked off on my OA reading. I need to get back to reading a little each day. That always seemed to inspire me, and keep me on track. I never made the gym yesterday, but I did workout at home. Things just got so crazy here, and then after dinner I went to get my hair cut...it needed it badly;) Turned out really cute...I went shorter and wilder! I'm going to the gym this afternoon though to make up my cardio. Before the gym though I have to hit a few stores for Easter stuff. I tell ya I've been saying I need to finish up Easter shopping forever it seems!LOL! Today though for real I'm going to do it. I'm watching my baby nephew on Friday and tomorrow I'm helping at Mattie's school, so that only leaves today or Saturday and Saturday is way to last minute, even for me!LOL! So that is my plan today. I'm hoping since I won't be home this afternoon that my food struggle won't be so bad today. Do you guys find that when your home it's harder? I think I get bored and then I just eat. When I'm busy food really doesn't enter my mind until I feel my stomach rumble;) Anyway that is what I'm up to. Have a wonderful day~
Counting- Now that is the kind of attitude that I like to see:) I'm with ya, let's kick some butt this week! Muse- WTG on the run. 10min to 20 min. seems like a big jump to me, could you go to 15 min. first? Rennie- How is that cleaning going? Are the kids helping ya still, or did they bail:) For some reason though I can't picture you letting them bail!LOL Melissa- How did the meeting go? I bet your glad that's over. Kev has to take Joey tomorrow night for the "sex ed" parent/student meeting:) He is not looking forward to that, but ya know what it's time. I told him afterwards him and Joey can go out for dessert and talk. That way if Joey has any questions they will be fresh in his head. Andi- It may of been the energy shot, but I know when I work out at night I'm always wired for a few hours. I think maybe the combo of both is what did ya in:) Great job making it through the whole class though. Tera- Don't give up hun...you've been going through some rough times with your son, but please don't give up on yourself. I'm telling ya, you'll feel so much better if you take care of yourself. We're all here for you:) Mom23BC- How's it going? Hope things are going well...any news about your MIL yet? I've been praying for you guys~ |
Good Morning Red team! Flying by the seat of my pants again today, I've got ALOT going on all leading up to tomorrow with 2 exams but then the good news is I'm on Spring break!!! I cant wait!!
I've done 2 days in a row of the gym! And eating has been pretty good, not sure if its right on because I've just not had the time to enter stuff into the computer at all. I do plan to hit the gym again today though! Stress relief for sure LOL! Tina...thanks so much for asking, the meeting went really well I think. It was nice to have a few negative factors removed from the meeting and then the ideas flew and the energy was amazing. Its great to see you arent obsessing about food! I think if we can just gain that control success is right behind it! Keep up the great work! Andi...great to see you girl!! Not to worry about the scale just keep up those amazing workouts!! Alright time to get breakfast rolling for the girls! Have a wonderful day everyone!! |
Good morning
I hope you all had a good morning. I am off today but I got a ton of things to do. Like cleaning and shopping and haircut and of course the gym. Be back later have a good morning. :) Cathy/Canada |
Hi everyone. Thanks so much for kind words of support. It really helps.
Counting-I checked my entry for no whining and had to erase a bunch of it! I have already decided no quitting so now I just need to do the no slacking part-that's a lot tougher! IdealMuse-How do you like the running? I really enjoy it and the more I run the more I want to but it is hard to fit it in the schedule. I am looking forward to running outside again now that the weather is improving. Shy-You've lost 50 pounds! That is so awesome! What is the key to your success? Is it using the Internet site to track your food? I have never tried that. I try to stay within a calorie range but I know I am eating more food then would be possible to include if I was using the WW points even if I do manage to stay within the calorie range. Andi-The spinning sounds like a great workout. I have never tried it. The classes are really crowded at the Y. Is it difficult to start or do you just walk into the class and sit down? Tina-Sounds like everyone is finally healthy all at once at your house-yeah! When I stayed at home I also found it difficult not to be tempted to eat too much but I haven't found it to be that much easier when I am working. You are right about keeping busy. I think it also helps not to have goodies in the house. It looks like you are doing the right thing for yourself with the OA. Look at all the weight you've lost. Just keep working on it. It is so cute to read about your Easter plans. I remember those days. Enjoy. HunEB-I am so glad to read your spring break is approaching. Just think of all that delicious time you will have on your hands! Congrats on getting in your exercise and eating better! |
Tera, we will not LET you give up! Just keep on trucking - you can do it :)
Karen, small victories are definitely key. Without those, I would have given up a long time ago, because my big victory (the scale) just does not seem to be even close. Counting, thank you!!! Pep talks are fantastic and definitely help me keep going. We are all in this together! Idealmuse, I absolutely love when my exercise cancels my calories! I've learned not to eat more to make up for it, but DailyPlate still shows net calories, which is sometimes fun to see. On weekends when I do my long runs, I LOVE when it's the end of the day and it sometimes tells me that I can eat more than a whole day's worth of calories! Tina, I definitely find it much harder to avoid food when I'm bored. It's not that I eat because I'm bored as a way to fill the time, but being bored gives me time to think about food more and develop a craving. Whereas days like today, when I'm pretty busy at work, I may even have to force myself to eat lunch because otherwise I forgot! I definitely am trying to work on evaluating when I am HUNGRY versus when I am BORED or when I think it's time to eat (that is, when noon hits, there are days when I'm not hungry but I eat anyway because "it's lunchtime!"). Melissa, I was discussing vacations with my team today, and I told them that my ideal vacation would be to go to a sunny beach location with an awesome gym and a nice kitchen. I would want to work out all day and then cook my own delicious food for all my meals. They teased me a little about that, but seriously, that would be my ideal vacation. A vacation like a cruise where you just lie around and eat would make me feel gross and more stressed than when I left! I have a new willpower/motivational strategy that I'll post about later, but need to get back to work now. Have a great day everyone! |
Tera - "How do you like the running? I really enjoy it and the more I run the more I want to but it is hard to fit it in the schedule"
I guess I'm lucky as I work at home so I can work my exercise around my workload for the day which works out nicely. I can see how fitting it in would be a challenge. Getting up earlier is no fun! Truthfully I'm mostly enjoying it. It isn't always easy but it's getting better. The first time adding on several minutes to my run was a challenge but my body adapted for the most part. I do look forward to the day my heart rate gets a bit lower during the runs though. The side benefits of how my body reacts to the running makes it totally worth it. I've gained some mad muscles in my core and legs. Much more so then from all the other activities I did earlier in the year. I feel A LOT stronger. Might also be the cross training too though as I've been swimming and biking. The endorphins help with my depression so my over outlook is better, and like I mentioned earlier it does a great job in canceling out some of my calories. So I won't say I LOVE it but most days I look forward to it, but I'm also glad when it's over! :) |
Counting - Thanks for the :kickbutt:. I really needed it!
Well, I'm happy to report that I was able to stay on plan yesterday. No unplanned eating which was great. Since I got my bloodwork results I've been a little anxious about my cholesterol levels. I haven't had any red meat in several days. In the past I have eaten more than my share I'm sure. They recommend only having red meat once a week which is hard for me as a singleton. I tend to cook enough for several days meals at once and when it involved hamburger, that can be 5-6 meals instead of the one allowed weekly. I have also been trying really hard to get my daily allowances of fruit and veggies in. I weighed in today just to check and so far it's not moving (slightly up but not enough to count yet). This week is spring break and we've decided to close the office tomorrow and Friday because it's so slow around here. I am going to try to up my workouts on those days and try to get some housework done. It's long overdue! I will do my best to check in while I'm off, but on the off chance that I can't....everyone have a Happy Easter! :easter2: |
Good afternoon ladies! Well DD had an ultrasound today... Still trying to figure out what's wrong with her. She has an appt on the 10th with a Gastro Doc. Hopefully they come up with something, cause everything else is coming back normal. Which is a good thing, but frustrating at the same time that they aren't finding anything wrong. Ya know. Weight is slightly up, but I know I need to make better choices.... I am stuck in the yo-yo mode lately. Guess I can be thankful that I am so far a good maintainer. LOL. It's been cloudy and icky out here and that just seems to make me so UNmotivated! Really would be helpful to join a gym, just financially not in the cards right now. Oh well, enough of my whining! Hope you all have a great day!!

Popping over for a fast study break! I finally watched the show from last night. Makeovers were so good! I'd love to do that once I reach goal, of course the $1000 g/c would be nice LOL!
So I lost my Griz card again! So I didnt get to go to the gym to do my running, but I did walk from the park n ride lot to campus and then back, overall it was 40 minutes of walking, not too shabby! I'll try to work in the other 20 minutes on the elliptical but we've got band concert tonight and I'm supposed to be studying for my 2 exams tomorrow. I guess its not too hard to read notes and elliptical now is it? I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!! Cant wait till tomorrow afternoon to be able to catch up with everyone!! |
