Tina30: I HAVE to go out and get that cook book. I think my kids would love it. I just get nervous about cooking in the kitchen. I may sample too much. Hmmm....maybe I should just make sure I eat before hand something healthy and chew gum while cooking. So maybe I need to make a trip to Barnes and Nobles today.

I hope everyone is doing okay. Have a great weekend.

Off to swim class wearing a silly sports bra and to-the-knee fitted running shorts... This is the 3rd week like this and I'm feeling kinda silly.

Any suggestions on plus sized swimsuits? The Land Bryant ones are hideously expensive for what that are. I tried on some Speedo type at the sports store and not enough boob support, plus they were too small apparently I'm a larger size in sporty swimsuits. Target was a bust. Looked online at torrid and nothing looks like it will work. I rather be able to try one on since they all seems to fit oddly so far.

Thanks for all the well wishes on the kitty. We do have two others but it's just not the same, but at least he's no longer sick and unhappy.

Well wishes Mom2 as well.

Just wanted to check in for the morning. I'm having my Biggest Loser Workout day today so will probably check in a lot to post about what I've been up to. First up on the agenda: quick 2 mile run outside.

Happy Saturday Red Team!

I know I've been missing for a bit, work just really really drags me down! By the time I get home, deal w/ the kids & house, I am plain pooped! Today is an off day so I have time to play with ya'll! :yay:

Tina, I'm so glad Mattie is feeling better! Nothing worse than when kids sickness lingers & their miserable! Eh, so you had 6 cookies... you won still by sticking to your plan anyways and incorporating those in. You're doing awesome chicky!

Cecil, WTG on showing that scale who's boss! :carrot:

Laura, have fun on your BL day!

Cassie, great to see ya! Sorry school is so hectic right now, but go you for sticking to good eating and exercise! You're a star! :flow1:

Mom, prayers going up for your family. Stay strong hon, we're all here with you.

Muse, have you tried Kohl's or Penney's? I know, not very glamorous! lol I know Kohl's (I work there) has women's suits, they run about $60-80 I think but are always on sale. Just a suggestion. Penney's, at least here, has a pretty large women's dept. so figure they'd have a selection of suits at a decent price. Sorry to hear about your kitty! :(

Kari, Utah, Laurie, Rennie, Karen, Melissa73, Mel, a big  to you all!!!

Ok, well guess I'm off to start laundry and housework. Blah!!!! I don't wanna!!! Can't I just stay here and play all day?????
Guess I will be back to see who else checks in!

Have a great day ladies, keep shining!

Good morning ladies~ Just popping in really quick this morning to say Hi! We're taking the kids to the Museum of Science and Industry today. We became members a few months back, and haven't been in a while. The kids are really excited and so am I. They just opened a new glass blowing exhibit that I can't wait to check out. I just find that so cool! Ohhh I am so excited a brand spanking new Super Wal-Mart just opened 3 min. away from my house:) I went last night and let's just say I LOVE IT!!!! This could be trouble:)LOL! So that is my plans for today. Thank you all for putting the cookie situation into perspective for me. In the past that would of led to a major binge, but not this time. I just moved on and took it for what it was...GOOD!LOL! I have to go get my make-up on. Sorry no time for personals right now. I'll come back tonight or tomorrow to catch up on those. Have a wonderful day ladies~

Hey ladies just dropping in to say hi and that I have been OP for 4 days now! It is getting easier and I have to do all the cooking since my b/f wont do any really but oh well it is okay! I am trying to get ideas of things to cook! My mom is starting to do WW and is walking between 1.5 miles and 3.0 miles a day! I told her how proud I was of her! Well hope all is going well with everyone!!!!!!

Scenestealer 03-08-2008 01:21 PM

Did 3 miles running outside (even in the RAIN! I am hardcore), and then 45 minutes walking while watching Project Runway. I have a lot of TV to catch up on so I'm going to incorporate that into all my exercise today. Heading down to the gym now to do some rowing and some weights - it's arms time!

Hope everyone is having a super Saturday :)

Hun.e.B 03-08-2008 02:55 PM

Hey there sunshines! How's the weekend going? I had a shocking weigh in at WW this morning. I was down .6, and while that seems like not very much its a shock because of my choices this week. There is no reason I should have a loss. But, I'll take it!

I had a dream last night about Bob, he called me on my crap. Really woke me up on my choices lately. Being busy is not an excuse to make the choices I've been making.

I also posted a new video on my MPMU blog. Kids are rushing me out the door to run them over to the water park, and here I thought I'd get a few hours to do nothing! HA! Well at least I can accomplish some homework while they swim.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Yes you are lol.

utah
Nice going. That is great your mother is getting healthy too.

Tina
You have a nice time. Sounds like great fun.

Danielle
While you do your housework hehehe I want you to think about how all of mine is done and hubby and I are going to veg out in from of the tv all day lol.

deb
Heck, I thought all of us wore sports bras and shorts to swim in lol. At least they cover and support what should be covered and supported. I have no idea where to tell you to go. Maybe try sears. I haven't been able to find anything that is pretty and gives enough support in the top area.

Well, they said the storm was going to bring us 1 to 15 inches of snow. Since 10:30 am yesterday we now have 16 inches of snow on the ground. It stopped snowing lol.

jlbake 03-08-2008 04:51 PM

Good afternoon!

Yesterday, I started my day off with exercise. Today, I went hiking with dh and the kids. The hike is only 2 miles roundtrip, but it's pretty steep in some places since it rises 700 feet to the peak. We had a great time and the view was wonderful at the top.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend.

Mom23BC--I will keep your MIL and your family in my prayers. We have truly seen miracles in my family, so I know they happen.

CountingDown 03-08-2008 05:30 PM

Quick flyby to say hello. I posted my weight with a 1.8 lb loss, which is very good for me at this point in the journey :D I'm hoping for no gain next week with the Chicago trip on my schedule.

I hope you are all having a wonderful - POP weekend! Stay strong! Spring is just around the corner. And there are actually some really cute spring clothes hitting the stores right now :)

Shy Moment 03-08-2008 09:06 PM

That is great. My DOT is going to start very soon so I sure hope I have any loss at all on Wednesday weigh in. I know I can be as much as 5lbs up during the first few days before and the first few days after starting.

jl
Nice going. You did something great for your body and had fun with the kids at the same time. That is just wonderful.

cakses 03-08-2008 09:15 PM

Hi everyone, I am down 1 pound, but since I gained last week I guess I am sort of back to where I was. Good news is I have a few early days this week so I can get to the gym for sure. I can also cook more since I will be home before dinnertime. Getting off work at 5 can really take a toll if you're not prepared lol as I have found out. I made a killer pork tenderloin the other night and my boys liked it too. I have some quick groceries to get for the week and I am going to try some WW recipes. And I am going to try really hard to get to my first WW meeting this week. My work schedule just hasn't been accommodating, so I am going to have to either see if one of my few friends in this area can watch my kids for an hour or I need to squeeze in a meeting in between work shifts. I really hate being a single mom (husband is deployed) sometimes!

Scenestealer 03-08-2008 10:37 PM

Whew, I don't know how the contestants on Biggest Loser do it... I am exhausted!!! Here's what I managed to do today:
63.5 minutes of walking in place while watching TV
22.5 minutes of running outside at a 8:13 pace (2.76 miles)
62 minutes on the elliptical (5.85 miles)
20 minutes of rowing
24 minutes of weight lifting (arms)
Grand total: 3 hours 12 minutes!

I heard the contestants work out for 4-5 hours/day, and wow... I am just so in awe of that. Maybe I'll do another all-day challenge soon and see if I can hit that. I will have to someday if I'm ever going to do a marathon...

Happy Sunday Ladies!

Sorry I have not been participating much lately but it has been a very long week. We decided to withdraw our game addicted son from the university before he was permanently expelled for unsatisfactory scholarship. We have had to seriously readjust our plans for his future. No matter what, it is going to take a lot longer then we planned to get this one launched into adulthood. Anyway, I have not been thinking much about weigh loss and have not been particularly careful at all about what I have been eating but luckily my weight did not seem to be affected. I have been vigilant about staying on schedule with my regular routine at the Y since it is as helpful for my mental well being as anything else. I hope to do much better this week about food choices. I am glad I didn't gain weight last week but I know eventually it will catch up with me if I am not careful.

By the way, my son who is now living at home also has a weight problem. He won't weight himself but his waist size is 54 inches. Do any of you have advice on how I should or should not address this? He is 20 years old. We can only control the food in the house which has not been enough to effect a change in his weight in the past. I was about 10 to 15 pounds overweight as a young person and I know I hated it when my dad made comments about my eating. My mom never commented although it may have been because she always battled with a worse weight problem then mine.
