Another Round?

Are we going to do another round when we finish this one? I am the only interested in doing it again? :)

Clover2007 03-19-2007 04:05 AM

Tell me more....if there's another round, I'd be up for it. I'm new to the forum. :^:

Diva 03-19-2007 10:27 AM

Count me in!!!!

Count me in if there's another one. I have a July 4th vaction I need to lose for, not to mention a Nov wedding! I do want to look fab for that! :D

By my caculations, this gives me 15 weeks from now before the vacation @ 2 lbs lost per week will have me @ 171. Not where I wanted to be, but 30 lbs lighter is always good.

After that I have 19 weeks before my wedding. So 2 lbs loss per week will have me right around 133 to 135 which is exactly where I wanna be, so I sooooooooooooo need a challenge with your girls (and guys?) I am ready and will be continueing my efforts anyways, but doing it with all of you would be more fun!

babygrant 03-19-2007 10:32 AM

I'd be in for another round. Katie are you volunteering to run it? ;)

jelynn 03-19-2007 10:53 AM

I'd be up for another...especially since I *finally* just got my act together! lol :dizzy:

CharityKB 03-19-2007 11:04 AM

I'd be up for another round as well!

canadian mom 03-19-2007 11:22 AM

I don't have much left to loose actually I am pretty much taking it bit by bit now but I would like to join if I can

Puncezilla 03-19-2007 03:38 PM

I'm in too, if it goes again.

Tina30 03-19-2007 03:55 PM

Sounds good to me! Keep us posted!

choosewell 03-19-2007 04:48 PM

chellez, can you think of ways we could make the process easier, less work for the team leaders? I know you are swamped...I'm like you, work, home, school....well, no wedding, but I'm dealing with the happy aftermath (husband, pets, etc.). Anyway...we're probably all like that, busybusybusy...tell us how much time you spend each week on the process, what it entails?

in your spare moments, of course. :^:

Really the biggest crunch time is getting all the weights together. That's usually in part because people wait until the day of to do so. I spend the majority of the time asking for numbers. The charts are easy and I actually have a format I follow from the end of the first challenge. The second big thing is keeping the team motivated. I know this challenge was different from the last because there was one team that was very chatty and the other was very quiet. I'm not quite sure how this affects the overall participation but I'd like to have both teams in active discussion.

I ho'd and hummed about this all day. I don't mind running another challenge to take us through the summer. The only thing I'm afraid of is the reaction from the end of this challenge we are on is going to somehow drizzle itself into a new one if I do take the job so to speak. In either case, if you want me to do it I'm here and I don't mind. All you have to do is ask.:D

Miss Hawthorne 03-19-2007 11:01 PM

I'm up for another round!! I have to be married in 6 months and I have another at least 20 pounds to go!!! Count me in!!!
PS, bottles of wine assist in a good weigh in if you drink them the night before you're "official" morning weigh in. I don't think that's PC, but it has worked for me a few times!!

choosewell 03-19-2007 11:02 PM

I'm asking, chellez! I've really enjoyed this 'challenge' although I have to admit I don't feel very competitive with the blue team...I feel more like we're all in it together.

Maybe this time we could just make it one big team. Would that make it easier? Just limit it to the first 40 who sign up or something.

Remind us Red Teamers of your wedding date, please? Thanks. choosie.

WindyCityChick 03-19-2007 11:16 PM

I would be up for another challenge. I haven't posted as much in the chat threads due to time issues, but I've really found the challenge itself motivational, and I would like to keep rolling!

BlackCherry 03-20-2007 12:14 AM

I'd love to join, so I was wondering if you do another round will you be accepting new people?

Then another round it is!

I think that both of the teams this challenge had 2 different playing styles. The blue team was very quiet and reserved where the red team was chatty and openingly supportive. Not to say the blue team hasn't done well with this play style, it was just drastically different from last time I guess.

I like the idea of one big team, but I'm thinking about using that towards the end of the challenge. Although limiting the amount of people that can sign up would be smart, I think it will turn a lot of people away that are willing to stick to the challenge until the end. The biggest weeding out process comes in the first 2 to 3 weeks so by week 4 we usually have the core people that stay around for the end.

Next question is how long do you want to wait between challenges? The challenge we are on ends on March 31st and I'd like to have a sort recess between then and the new challenge to get the mods to clean out the old stuff. So end of April beginning of May?

I have to admit the one thing I fear is the summer with this one. Everyone is taking vacation so I'll have to see how I can work around that.

As far as my wedding date.... August 18th. Only 151 days to go! :D

bopis21 03-20-2007 10:04 AM

I'd like to do another challenge!

hdsqrl 03-20-2007 10:14 AM

I might be up for another round as well...it's always good to have another layer of accountability!

skinnyjeans 03-20-2007 10:22 AM

Hmm..think I would like to join in if there is room. I just missed signing up for the last round and could use a little extra motivation.

Also...If you don't want a whole month off you could start after Easter. That would give everyone a free week with no time for backslide. Of course I'm not doing any work right now so its easy for me to shorten the time you have off.

wannabetiny 03-20-2007 02:20 PM

I would be interested in signing up for the next round. I have not been in one before, but it looks like a great way to keep motivated? Where can I sign up?

KrispieD 03-20-2007 03:08 PM

I'm in again.. especially approaching bathing suit season.. eewww!

Jen 03-21-2007 05:05 PM

Oh yes I'd love to sign up for a challenge and I think just 1 team would be a great idea. Please post a sign up thread when planning is getting underway. I will check back a lot so I don't miss this one!

happydaisy 03-22-2007 02:07 AM

I'd love to join if you decide to take new people....:)

Diva 03-22-2007 09:22 AM

Definately count me in! I have about 15 (more or less) weeks til our vaction for the 4th of July and I REALLY wanna be 30 LBS lighter! I think the week after easter is good too, but I am willing to start whenever....I already have personally anyways.... I am finding that this time around I am doing so much better with working out and having Will power to steer clear of trigger foods. With the warmer weather upon us, I am WAY more motivated! It's time for shorts and almost time for Swim suits, NO more playing around! LOL!

The way I see it, the chocolate and cheeseburgers will still be there when I am thinner. hehe:D

BTW, This is PinkDiva, for some reason I can't get my pw to work so I just made a new name.

summerlove 03-22-2007 03:11 PM

I would love to join this!

Catsgetnhealthy 03-23-2007 03:16 PM

Hi I would really like to join if you guys do it again.

chellez 03-29-2007 12:07 AM

I'm assuming if you posted your name here that you'll be participating so I'll be adding everyones name up the the spring / summer signup thread tomorrow at work

Diva 03-29-2007 08:32 AM

I know I am silly, but wouldn't it be neat to have Purple and Pink teams this time? Yanno, pastles? Tis the season! LOL! OF course I'd wanna be Pink! ;)

LittleBlueCat 03-29-2007 08:40 AM

My weightloss has been slow this round. I was yoyoing quite a bit. Now I think I got my act together, and besides, another round of 12 week will take me straight to our vacation on the second week of July!! Swimsuit Season!! So-- Count me in!!
