I really don't like the name of this book at all - The Beck Diet Solution.

I think that term 'diet' implies something temporary - while these techniques are life long things to strive for. It's a hokey name - to me.

I know that using the word 'food plan' would have probably resulted in the book being another 20 pages longer. ;)

There...I said it.

Oh well...what I do like are all the techniques Dr. Beck has to share with us.

(This is really a silly post - but, the past three people that I told about this book all said..."Diet?" Then I have to go into it's not 'that' kind of diet book!)

Perhaps "Beck Lifestyle Solution" would have been more appropriate??

Only just seen this post of yours, Beverleyjoy. But I agree! I've thought the use of the word 'diet' is pretty old-fashioned. And some of the writing too, but that's probably another thing.

The techniques are good and they work. We just follow them and it works, doesn't it? We lose weight. :cool:

I have no idea who David Beckham is, I only know who Glenn is because this week Hubby was watching his show, and I asked Hubby if Glenn was related to Jeff Beck?

I know David Beckham - he was the captain of England's football team until just before the World Cup when he got some kind of injury. Has played for Man U, Real Madrid, AC Milan and also LA Galaxy. A film, I think: Bend it like Beckham.

His wife, Posh, is notoriously thin. Ex Spice Girl (girl band) and model. Good diet connection there.

Jeff Beck: well, of course, I know him. An absolutely brilliant English rock guitarist. Hi Ho Silver Lining! A central part of my growing up.

Glenn Beck: now I know a bit about him!
