Lose 5 lbs First #86 (continued)
 
So it looks like #86 was never completed! I'm newme 12 (Carol). I was here back in 2014 and got a lot of motivation from folks on the forum. I slipped away, and gained some weight back that I really want to lose again... and then keep going of course!
It seems very quiet on the forum right now, but I'm hoping there are lurkers ready to get going...after all, it is getting close to bikini time (ok, not for me) :) please join in! I'll just play by myself until someone feels sorry for me lol.

Hopping on board! Nice to meet you, Carol. You get extra credit for spunk! I'm Tuscany (Susan). I too got a lot of support from 3FC when I lost weight a few years ago (2013). Unfortunately, I then ran into some health issues and gained weight back. It's time to get back to where I was.

Hello! :) It is so nice to have someone else on the forum!! (and in this challenge, I was starting to feel a little silly lol). I think we must have just missed each other in the 2013-2014 range, because I remember seeing your name in some of the older posts I read for tips back then when I was first starting on Atkins.
Anyways, I am a nurse and I work night shift 7 days on and 7 off, so I will be back later today to post my weight. Thanks for joining me!!

A nurse...that must keep you busy and give you lots of exercise! What type of nursing do you do?

I'm an investment banker, which means I spend lots of time sitting at a computer or in meetings. That's one of my biggest problems when it comes to my weight.

In any event, I was happy to see a small drop in the scales this morning!

Good morning Tuscany! I am a pediatric nurse. Some nights the floor are busy and I am on my feet a lot and somet nights ( like this week), we are slow and I get less excercise. It varies a lot!
You are doing fantastic!! I actually had dropped 2 lbs the day before starting this, and I was up a lb yesterday evening when I weighed. I think it was water retention because I was in the bathroom every 2 hrs last night, so hopefully things will look better this evening!

Morning newme! I'm happy with my progress, although it's not as good as it seems. I was 195 at the beginning of March, then dropped to 192.5 and then went back up to 195 just before seeing/joining this thread. I'm sure the increase was water retention, because I stayed on plan. So, I'm now just shedding that water weight and getting back to where I was about a week ago. Still, I was happy to see another drop this morning.

You have started moving in the right direction. I hope that continues today!

No change for me this morning, but that beats a gain! Today I plan to clean the house. I normally do that on Saturdays, but yesterday was so gorgeous outside, I went to the park instead. Perhaps my time spent cleaning, plus some time on my elliptical, will keep me on good terms with my scale. Hope you're doing well!

Just wanted to say hello and I'm back from my month and a half vacation in the Philippines and day two back on induction. Weight is dropping super fast so I don't want to join the 5lb challenge because it wouldn't be fair, but happy to jump back in to get the support here.

Tuscany the weather here has been beautiful too. I work 12 hour shifts on the weekends so I haven't gotten to enjoy it yet. Well...I saw the uptick for my bad eating today!! I'm getting super serious starting now lol!!

I'm retaining water right now...mainly due to bad plumbing. Went up a half lb. to 191.5 this morning.

Up and down, up and down is the name of the game! I feel swollen today too, so pretty sure it's water retention. I took B6 and 12, so hopefully that will help.

Tuscany: Sorry about your uptick! I figured you have this challenge finished by now! :) I am on my "7 off", but I worked extra yesterday, and they just called wanting help tonight. It's ok tho, the extra Money is needed!

Hi all. So made it through week one back on plan. Lost 10.8lbs. We all know that's going to slow down quick. The jump back on plan was really simple. Already starting to feel like myself again. Hate that I went off plan for a month but we really didn't have a choice living in hotels for a month. Anyways, all is well here in China. Back on plan and have my small goals set between now and the summer. I'm still contemplating adding in more exercise because right now I just get daily fitness from walking to and from work (about 30 minutes total), and walking some stairs at work. I know I need more...but exercise has always been my biggest downfall. Lifestyle choices with food on Atkins has never been a problem. Once I'm here, I have never felt the need to be anywhere else. So small goals, I want to be under 300 by July. I haven't updated my signature yet to reflect my gain from my month and a half off plan. Think I will just keep that to myself. Also, I want to stay with my Atkins lifestyle induction choices until I become pregnant and we plan to start trying again in July.....so lots to plan for and be excited about. For the near future, just working and staying on plan.

Sorry to have gone so many days without posting! I tried to post Tues. but I deleted it twice and then gave up and went to sleep :( This week has been TOM, so I have been up and down!

Shan: Great job getting back on plan! Exercise is my weakest area too!
