Default Atkins diet book

Hi everyone

I am new to the Atkins diet and I hear that it is important to always read the Atkins book first. But after shopping around I see there are SO many Atkins books out there. What's the best to start with for beginners?

I've been doing Atkins nearly 11 years now and my recommendation is Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002. This is the last book written by Dr. Atkins himself before his death in 2003 and the only book I've ever followed.

I like the 2002 book also. Please don't buy anything later than that year or go by their website. The new Atkins people want you to buy their products which are junk.. IMO

I like that book as well. Also Dr. Atkins Quick & Easy New Diet book which has a copyright of 1997 and the copy I have is from 2004.

You can google Linda's low carb recipes for some great recipes and menus.

The above poster are assuming that Dr. Atkins would not have made any changes to his diet. I don't use the products, but if it keeps someone on the diet instead of quitting, I don't think they are that bad. I follow the latest book.

This is the cover of the Atkins book discussed in this thread. It's the one with his photo on the cover. I got it at the thrift store for $.60 or something like that.
