I think the whole group lost close to 20+ lbs total! (not me).. so weeeeeeeeeeeeeee LOL I am GONNA win this one! Watch out! :lol: SW 229.8 (hooray back in the 20's now the teens!) I am reviewing all my atkins books...I have really been spending some time on-line looking at new recipe ideas...If I don't try to get a little variety it gets so boring so fast.. Well........ Too much Prosecco and surprise pizza/chips/etc :( boo to Sue! So time to start fresh and nothing came home with me.. so all gone! Sue lets kick this thing into high gear and take our numbers into new places!! Less snot today, definitely felling better but here's the thing. I don't have a problem resisting bad food, For me it is easy to stay on plan and eat right... For me it is the alcohol, I LOVE wine, and quality margaritas, and I cant seem to just have one or two it is always in excess. It seems there is always a reason... holiday, birthday, promotion, good haircut, fixed the cat... something there is always something. This week is my sons and my birthday so again after being good all week there will be a reason to screw it up with cocktails... :dizzy: Realizing that there will always be something has brought me to the conclusion that I just must refrain. I am spinning my wheels and its frustrating... My clothes are fitting better and better so I know I am losing weight but the damn carbs from drinks keep my scale number up not to mention ARE NOT HEALTHY and I really want to do this as a lifestyle change not just a solution to the weight issue. So not as a resolution (because those never stick) but as a promise to myself.... No more celebrating with drinks. I have such a great food will power that this will be amazing once I get out of this rut. Last night I emptied my home of alcohol and am ready to get this last 50 lbs off. Jessie - Good for you!! In one of Atkins old books he writes that alcohol is the number one problem in weight control for many of his patients. He says because of our society it is harder to turn down a drink than dessert even if we like dessert more! Good for you for making the promise to yourself!! YOU are worth it!!! Jessie.. I like that idea of having a goal picture in our minds. It helps deter us when our little voice is tempting us :).. I think I will find an old picture (tho I was is so few) or find an image somewhere of what I can become. and the other goals I would like (payoff 1 cc this year... save some money and STOP SPENDING money on stuff I don't need.. just want!) I am finally in the negative! WOO Hoo! I have my blinders on for the teens! Was only there a month ago.. I know what it feels like!
