I'm going to try again ! Scared and confused!

  • Hi everyone !

All of you are so inspiring ! I need help ! Today is day 1 and I am soooo tired of failing. I need to get it right. I can't even get the weight tracker going.... I need people with patience that could act as my mentor.

I just feel that last time I tried doing this, I was NOT doing something right because I initially lost weight then I kind of plateaued (sp ?) then I got frustrated and quit. I am also 60 yrs old and my metabolism has slowed.

Hope you are all doing well !
    Danielle
  • Yay! The first step is always the hardest and you did it.
  • I'll be around, will help with what I can.
  • Welcome, Danielle!

I'm glad you've decided to give Atkins another try. As long as I stay essentially on Induction, I lose weight. Sometimes I don't lose one week or even two, but as long as I don't get into sugar or extra carbs, the weight loss comes.

Walking a little every day helps me keep losing and helps my attitude. I find that if I'm not losing, I can cut the amount of cheese I eat, switch up the foods I'm eating, keep walking, and drinking water (I hate water) the weight loss will show up on the scales. I NEVER lose quickly; 2 pounds a week is really good for me, but those losses add up.

I wish you the best of everything on your journey. If you haven't figured out your weight tracker, let me know and I'll try to help.
