opinions of book
My administrator loaned me a cookbook she was using when they were doing atkins. (sigh, her husband won't continue right now because his diabetic educator doesn't "like" it, never mind that he lost weight and managed his blood sugars better than at any time in memory, so they are doing "balanced" diet, 40-40-30)
The book is called "500 more low carb recipes" (so I assume there is a first book call 500 low carb recipes) by Dana Carpender. I like the format, the early part of the book talking about adapting recipes, about glycemic and carb load of ingredients, and each recipe has info about the carbs, fibre, net carbs and other nutritional info. I have made a couple of things and like it a lot. Has anyone else used this book or the first by this author? What are your favourites if so? |
I haven't, but I sure would like to! I tend to be a simple cook, so it's nice to throw something fun into the mix once in a while. I'll be looking that one up!
