Well, since posting this I noticed President's Choice has corrected the nutritional info on these bags...the carbs and fiber are now switched.

You all are cracking me up on your alcohol comments. I am going on a vacation in October with friends and I am afraid I am going to be a very cheap date . . . and make a fool of myself!!! It is interesting how just a little alcohol affects us when we are low carbing.
SaskNewfie: how long did it take for the 7 pounds to come back off?? My plan is to drink a lot of water all day long and hope for the best. |
Interesting thread...I love edamame and used to cook it in the shell then salt it like they do in a Japanese restaurant. My kids love it. Then discovered too much soy is not good for you, so I cut back.
Here is a listing I found for carbs. Interestingly, it shows that if you boil it and not steam it, there are more carbs. Maybe more sugars are released? http://www.fatsecret.com/calories-nu...e/carbohydrate |

I forgot about soy beans, I will have to get some from Sam's once I am done with the induction phase. They are a good snack.

I love edamame and eat it on induction. It can be a quick and easy snack. I think the key, as with anything in any stage, is moderation.
A whole bottle of bacardi?! Woah. I have the occasional whiskey & diet coke. I've never gained with this combo. I do miss my wine though. Alot. |
Also, I think the reason why they say "no alcohol on induction" is because when you drink, you have a tendency to want to snack...at least I do. I remember years ago going out with friends for cocktails and winding up at a restaurant eating all kinds of horrible things. Drunk food, so to speak.
