Is this considered Atkins?
 
I have been low carbing for 6.5 weeks. I have Dr Atkins new diet revolution updated 2002 edition. I do not do the carb ladder, but I avoid all starch, sugar and grains. I pretty much avoid fruit, and have dairy sparingly (cream in coffee, but about 10oz milk a couple times a week via sugar free latte)..

I do consume artificial sweeteners, some caffeine , and some Atkins bars. Counting carbs is my main focus with elimination of carby and trigger foods.

Would this technically be a version of Atkins even though I don't really follow the carb ladder persay?

My daily carbs range from 15 to low 30's with most days being in the low 20s , net. I have several metabolic issues which cause me to Losd slower than average ( pcos, max dose of ssri, severe type 2 diabetes in family. Etc. I am thrilled with any progress on the scale as I am eating food I love and got once have tamed the cravings monster- very low appetite !
