I know 2 oz of cream cheese that I have is 4 net carbs, the type of eggs I have are half a carb, and then half a carb for sugar twin so mine was 5 carbs.
The one on the site says it is 4 carbs with splenda, 3 with the liquid version. Maybe they have a lower carb cream cheese and are not counting the egg? I was trying to figure this out too. |
It must be the cream cheese. Mine has a fraction of a carb per oz.

mmmm That danish sounds good!!!

Steph are you using light or non fat cream cheesE? that increases carb count?
|
I use nutrition data.com. I imputed the items as listed on the mock danish, but I guess there is always room for error :) I listed the 4 grams of dietary fiber, but didn't deduct it from the overall carb count.
So NOW I am wondering myself about the carb count in a tsp (1 packet) of splenda. I just looked it up and it says there are 0 carbs in one packet :?: So maybe that's where the extra carbs come into nutriton data's calculating?????? |
All the cream cheese I saw was this amount or more (flavoured ones). I couldn't find any lower so I thought this was as low as it gets.
Is it true lower carb creme cheese exists? :D islandchick, a packet of splenda has one carb. I use sugar twin which is half a carb. |
So I'm assuming that one mock danish has 5 carbs in it. My roomie loves them, but I can't get past the "eggy" taste and texture to it.
|
I don't think they taste eggy at all! What are you flavoring them with?
|
I love them too much. I'm going to have to hold off on them for a bit.
I feel like they might be a trigger food for me, they taste sooo good and I could see myself binging on them. |
Well I have tried the mock danish a couple of different ways .... I don't have a microwave .... I tried in the oven in a small dish, worked okay but the dish was terrible to clean. Tonight I tried on the stovetop in a buttered skillet to brown the bottom and then under the broiler to set the top. I ended up with a pancake.
Back to the drawing board |
Haha, aww! I'm sorry to laugh Shells, I was just picturing it as a pancake.
