Yay! Out of the 220's!

  • This is slow going...I'm going to check what I'm eating and how much. I think how much is the problem, particularly too much cheese. I guess I have to get the scale out and weigh it!

This is a very stressful week; I have a close friend critically ill. Please pray for her; her name is Beth, and she's a wonderful woman, mother, and friend. Many thanks.
  • My prayers will include Beth today.

Congratulations on the weight loss and out of the 220's. Try not to let the stress get to you. Remember to take care of yourself so you can be there for others.
  • Thank you...
Thank you for your caring; your prayers are desperately needed and much appreciated.
  • Congrats on the weight loss and Beth is in my prayer's.
  • Thank you so much. I wish there were something more I could do for Beth or for her husband and daughters. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
  • Congrats on being out of the 220's. How much have you lost on this in what amount of time? I am a rather slow loser too, but as long as I see a downward trend I am ok. I don't even get on the scales very often. You might try increasing your excercise too.

I'll say a prayer for Beth as well.
  • Thank you for your prayers. Sweet Beth needs all the help she can get. She's holding her own, but she is still very critical. I lost the first 16 pounds in about 5 weeks; then we had a death in our family, and I lost it for a year maybe.

I didn't stay on Atkins, but I didn't gain any weight (I wasn't eating well, but I didn't eat much) so I lost a little more. Now I'm back on Atkins, and I've lost seven pounds in three weeks - but I've had a few "not so much on plan" days here and there. However, I haven't had any bread, rice, potatoes at all in three weeks. I'm very proud of that because I used to be a bread and potato freak.
  • i hope your friend is okay. Congrats on getting under the 220! I can't wait to get there myself. I hear ya on the potatos.. I love potatos. Potato salad is my downfall!! But it is so worth it in the long run.
  • Thank you all for your prayers. My friend is so much better! She's out of ICU and in a regular room and hoping to go home next week. The news is amazing since we were so afraid for her life earlier this week and last week. Again, maybe not so amazing. I believe in the power of prayer and the gathering of friends in prayer. Thank you so much.
  • Sandy Fanny so glad you updated us on your friend Beth, so glad she is out of ICU and coming home soon. I will continue to pray for her and her family.
Sandy I also believe in the power of prayer I am a nurse and I have seen it as well.
