the best regulator is a whole grain like golden flax seeds, pure wheat bran, or oat bran. I'm on a high protien diet as well. And it does constipate so I mix those grains in at least twice a day to keep things on the move..

A agree fatmad - bars out and planned meals in! I love salad (especially with a juicey homemade cheeseburger on top hehe) sounds like a nice suggestion:)
