fruit and ongoing weightloss.
hello! a few years back i did atkins for a good..month and a half and lost about 30 pounds. for some reason i went off of the diet..and gained it back + more. During that time I never really moved out of induction as I hate thinking about what I can eat and it was just easy to eat meat cheese and eggs. lol. I've tried atkins a couple more times but the idea of only eating meat cheese and eggs makes me discouraged and i give up. I really want to do this..and I don't normally find it to hard to stick to. However, I love fruit. I'm wondering what kinds of foods I can add in after induction is over with. Will eating atkins bars for breakfast slow down my weight loss? I'd rather eat that than bacon/eggs any day of the week! I'm trying to lose 50 pounds in 3 months, and then 50 more by Christmastime. I might be rambling but my main question here is what am i allowed to eat during ongoing weight loss. can i ever eat an apple or strawberry again??

My best advice is to get a copy of the book and follow it as far as climbing the rungs of adding carbs. I know that I enjoy strawberries and blueberries with heavy whipped cream often during the warmer months...yum! I love bringing them to a party as a dessert and feel so indulgent, but I am completely on plan. ;)

As for the Atkins bars....its your call, but, be advised they do tend to stall a lot of people and despite what Atkins Nutritionals Inc. is printing on the label, they are NOT "appropriate for Induction". I second that recipe site! I make stuff from that a lot when I am going to a get together and I will tell you that my dishes are gone before the other stuff! Low carb is delicious!! :carrot:
