Thanks for the welcome everyone.. It's great to be back. I should have never left..And i wouldn't have to lose this weight again..!!!
I was doing good all day yesterday until my brother in law brought my daughter a cake by for her birthday.. She turned 17 yesterday...:hb: It was to good...I told her to hide it from me but i guess its hard to hide a cake
Today i'm starting over.. induction for me..Bring on the eggs.. meat and veggies...:broc: :dust:

:D I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, since you've done Atkins before....but go out and put a huge sign on your door that says, DO NOT bring anything with sugar in it into my house for 2-3 days!!

After the 2-3 days it takes to go into ketosis/fat-burning mode, it should be much easier to resist this stuff.

Thanks, deena good thought..;).. I would but it would hurt their feelings...I will just put my foot down and controll myself from here on out...I usually don't care for sweets. but late at night, it can be hard if its around. I need to get me some ...ready to grab foods... for times like this.. I had some boiled eggs ready for that but, my son got hungry before i got supper cooked and ate them.. well.. I'll Do Better Next Time...:club:
And I was up 1 more pound thanks to that darn Cake...:tantrum:

I'll be on Atkins nearly 6 years...obviously my family KNOWS this..and for my birthday, my brother's wife thought it would be a good idea to call me out in front of my family because I didn't eat a piece of cake:shrug::shrug::shrug:

What I use for ready to grab foods or things to eat if I don't have time to cook are: chicken salad and egg salad I make ahead of time, hard-boiled eggs, like you mentioned, cook an eye round and slice and put in the refrigerator to eat with mayo, frozen veggies I can steam real fast and throw butter and cheese on, get salmon at Costco, cut into individual portions and freeze...they take only 2-3 minutes to microwave (always cover, though...to prevent messing up the microwave), always keep on hand: shredded cheese, feta/goat cheese, eggs, veggies, fish portions, pre-cut salad mixes, chopped bacon, farmer cheese....and of course, butter and mayo.

Other than those, when I have the time, I will cook all sorts of chicken, turkey, etc., omelets, roasted/sauteed veggies, etc...when I have the time to cook or am not so hungry that I can't wait for something to cook.:)

Though I usually can wait, since I have such great appetite control on Atkins. But having stuff handy is great for times when, for instance, there are visitors here (usually family) who are eating stuff like pizza, etc...and don't want to go cooking in front of them so can grab Atkin's friendly stuff out of the fridge....or days like the recent ones I had where I'm in Annapolis all day, didn't eat, and come home late, hungry and too tired to cook.
