I get on the scale tomorrow and im a lil freaked out

  • Ive decided to only weigh myself once a week bc i get very upset by little fluctuations. Tomorrow i am going to weigh and i have this weird paranoia that its going to show that i am up. But i have been on plan all week and sucking down tons of water. It has to show some kind of loss right?
  • I remember that feeling when I first did Atkins a few years ago....a coworker and I were doing it at the same time and we didnt weigh ourselves until after the two-week induction. I had lost 8 pounds! She lost 10 (she was larger than me). I'm sure you will have a loss on the scales but if not....you certainly will the following week! Good luck and keep us posted!

  • Down 4 pounds the first week! woohoo! i was kinda hoping to see more but it is my TOM right now and i did eat alot of cheese the past 2 days and i recently burned my leg pretty bad so i might be retaining some fluid due to that even though i have been drinking sooo much water. Im relieved and happy! Hoping that next week shows more even if its just a couple of pounds! Im doing it!

    TOM will definitely effect your weightloss as will too much cheese. While cheese is permitted on Atkins....many find (myself included) that cheese has to be strictly limited. I only eat maybe an ounce and try not to eat it everyday.
  • Yayyyyy! WTG! Still 4 pounds is awesome! pick up a pound of something and multiply that x4 and then you will realize how much weight that actually is! I'm in ketosis now so I hope I really start losing!
