The atkins breakfast my fav meal of the day

  • oh yes the atkins breakfast! bacon and eggs the breakfast of champions and absolutely no guilt. the thought of waking up and having that plate of bacon and eggs is enough to to break the boredom of the monotony of induction food which lets face is pretty bland due to lack of sauces etc.

    god i love bacon and eggs! i just can't wait for the later stages when i can have sausages they are my favourite food

  • cos i can't afford the decent quality sausages that are high in meat the ones i can afford are packed with wheat etc. maybe sausages in the uk are different to yours but 2 sausages in the uk cheap ones will give about 22g of carb between them

    Can you get ground sausage w/out the casing by you Slimmingsi? Here we can pick it up in the frozen section (although I'm not sure if there are carbs in that).
  • There are a lot of recipes out there for homemade sausages. I make my own but usually have patties because I don't want to spend the time stuffing links.

    It's basically ground pork (mince) with various spices to make the type of sausage you want. By making your own you won't run into rusk or dextrose or starches in them...and you can have them NOW.

    Linda Sue has a ton of low carb recipes. Here is her recipe for hot Italian sausage to give you an idea. As U.S. breakfast sausages taste different from bangers, a Google search on them would give you an idea what spices to use. HTH
  • Hi there Im new, but i too love love bacon! I usually make extra in the morning and put it on a salad. My fav salad is letus, mayo, parmesan cheese and bacon. Sounds weird but it's really good
