am I doing this right?
I haven't gotten my book yet. I've been reading that you need to have more fat or meat in your diet but I doubt I'm doing this because I'm eating more veggies.
This has pretty much been my diet since 3 days after starting the Induction Phase. I love all that I have here. I can do with out the bacon in the salad. So that's not a biggy to let go of. Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs in 1 tbs of olive oil 2 pieces of bacon (no sugar or or that other thing added) decaf coffee with 1 splenda packets and 1 tsp of creamer. Lunch: 1 salman baked with garlic and Italian seasoning Salad: 3 cups of lettuce 1/2 red bell pepper 1 egg, hard boiled 1 bacon, chopped dressing: 2/3 tbs of olive oil and vinegar Dinner: 1 chicken breast, baked with same seasonings as above 1 cheddar cheese, 1 inch cube. Salad: 2 cups of lettuce 1/2 red bell pepper Dressing: same as above I drink water the whole day and also drink it with my lunch and dinner. Is this okay or do I need to add red meat? |
Veggies & salads look great!:) But, I do agree you need to add more fats....mayo, butter, fatty cuts of meat. Most people think Atkins is a high protein diet...when in reality, its a high fat, adequate protein diet. That being said, you need to eat more fat since you are eating lower carbs...the fat you are eating is what is burned for fuel.
You mentioned creamer in your coffee....what kind of creamer? |
It's a dry creamer from walmart. I was going to ask if anyone knew of alternative because it does add carbs
