unsweetened baking chocolate question
Hi -
I am making some stuff with unsweetened baking chocolate and it says, for one square, 9 carbs, 5 of which are fiber but zero of which are sugar - so what are the other carbs? (If I look at 100 grams, it will show 1 gram of sugar total, which of course doesn't show up when you only look at one square - pretty minimal, anyway). Thanks Sue |
So one square = 4 Net Carbs
I think if there are >1 gm of sugar/carbs they can say it = 0 (by law) so it could be sugar.... some one correct me if I'm wrong. What does the ingredients say? does it list sugar? you can usually tell by looking there. . |
Well, no, it's not sugar - as I said, it looks like there is much less than 1 gram of sugar in an ounce of chocolate (there is one gram of sugar in 100 grams of chocolate, and one ounce is 28 grams).
9 g carbs 5 g fiber about 0.3 g sugar. So the question is, what are the other carbs? |
