Just like Cheez-its!
I had to share the simplest recipe I've found. These cheese crackers taste just like cheez-its and have .5 grams of carbs. I found the recipe online.
CRISPY CHEESE CRACKERS Deluxe American cheese slices (not cheese food or cheese product) 1. Cut one square of cheese into 16 tiny squares. 2. Arrange on a sheet of parchment paper in somewhat of a ring around the edges of the paper. Don't place the cheese squares too close together or they'll stick to each other. 3. Microwave on HIGH about 65 seconds, or until the crackers are well-browned, but not burnt. Each slice of cheese makes 16 crackers Per Serving (16 crackers): 106 Calories; 9g Fat; 6g Protein; .5g Carbohydrate; 0g Fiber; .5g Net Carbs YUMMY!!:dizzy: |
Those would be great on a salad like crutons. There's a recipe some where here for parm cheese that you melt in the frying pan and it turns out crispy to. Thats great in a salad too.

American cheese slices are "processed" cheese and contain ingredients not found in regular cheese. I don't eat processed cheese, but you can make these with any regular cheese than melts well, like cheddar or jack. I love melted and browned cheese. And another good thing about this is that some of the oils separate from the cheese in the process, so it's not quite as fattening as whole cheese.
