Post To change or not to change... my Goal

Hey ladies,
I dont post a lot on here, but I read all the time. So I'm de lurking to ask a question. When I started LAWL in July I picked my goal of 140, cause well it sounded good and I had been there before ( although unhealthily). Now I'm sitting at 152 and everyone is tellig me that 140 would be too low for me. I'm 5' 9 1/2" and medium framed, I'm also righ now sized 7 to 9 depending on brand. So my question is should I try for 140 or stop at 145( the porposed new goal)? I guess I'm having trouble reconciliing the fact that I'm almost to the finish line, I still look in the miror and see areas needing imporivent. Anyway sorry for kind of rambling, I figured you all would understrand where I'm coming from.

Not sure of your age, but 145 sounds right for a lady your height. But, everyone is different. For example, I'm only 5'3" and my goal weight is 145 (size 8-10); Oprah W is at her goal weight of 154 and she's 5'7".

Jamie - 145 sounds right to me. 140 would probably be a little low. You can go to am-i-fat.com and look at their weight charts (they have a few different ones) to get an idea for you. Also, 5lb is not going to make you overweight or underweight. That is actually a normal fluctuation. So maybe you could go on stabilization at 145 and see where your body ends up.

Congrats on (almost) attaining your goal!

You have done absolutely awesome already. I think you are at the point where it's strictly your personal feeling. You are at a great weight by any standards so if you are happy with the number and the size (who wouldn't be?!?) then change your goal. Everyone is different. I am only 5'6 and my goal is 150--thought I am apparently toooooo content at 160! You'll know!

No one says that you have to make a decision today. When you get to 145 and if you are still not content, than another 5 pounds will be a breeze right? However, you should probably ask yourself if your being critical of yourself in a healthy way or not really being able to see your successes? Because I've noticed sometimes, the more weight you lose, the more you are unable to see it. Because after all, you see yourself everyday
