Default Introduction - new!
Hi, I just thought I'd do a quick introduction of myself.

I'm new to these boards but am trying to lose some (or really a lot) of weight and have PCOS. It's nice to see a support for us!

I am almost 24 and was just diagnosed a few weeks ago with PCOS although I had known for a few months I had it and I've pretty much had the symptoms since puberty. I was a skinny kid but as soon as I hit around 10 I started gaining weight! I lost it all at one point before starting highschool but then it all came back on again + more. I've always had a problem controlling my weight. I don't eat anything more than my friends but they seem to stay the same and I gain. I've started the South Beach Diet and I am on Metformin 1000 mg/Day and also Yasmin. I'm hoping to be down about 20 or 30 pounds by Christmas to kind of surprise my family (I live across country from them). Let's hope it's doable! I'd like to have to buy some new clothes!

So anyway, just thought I'd say hi!
