Prevention's the Sugar Solution Cookbook: More Than 200 Delicious Recipes to Balance Your Blood Sugar Naturally
hope that helps, i found it on amazon when i was looking for the other book .. i cant wait to get both! i dont have diabetes (yet) and i sure as heck dont want it!
Wow, ok, that makes this all the better!!! I hate "diet books" that tell you do this and this, but don't give you any help really in preparing meals....Cookbooks would be VERY helpful!! Especially for those of us (me) who are challenged in the cooking department! Hehe!!
Well, from the article it sounds like Sugarbusters. I have been following Sugarbusters for four or five years now and it DOES work. I unfortunately was not careful, and during a period of high stress let my good judgement in diet lapse for a few months. During that time, the prediabetes I had been controlling for all those years developed into full blown diabetes.
If you are looking for what is available for diabetics for a diet, do check out Sugarbusters as well. There are cookbooks for it too. I think the more you read, the better. No diet will be perfect for everyone.
Thanks for posting on this program. I am definitely going to check it out.
wow thanks for that. i've bookmarked them too, i like the thought of their kids book. none of my kids are over weight or bad eaters, but it's never too early to start them on a better path!
Yay!!! I just checked the book out of the Library, and it is GREAT!!!! I love it! Alot of useful info, it's a great resource! They have snack ideas for every kind of craving (sugar, salty, crunchy, sour, etc) whatever it is all listed in groups. It has "staple" lists...for things that you only should have to buy once a month...4 WEEKS of planned meals, and over 70 recipies in the book! I've been reading it alot, and so far it's very insightful! Definately worth a read!
I have been following the Sugarbusters for 2 days and have headache for 2 days. Is it just me or has someone else experienced this too. I have such a craving for something nothing is filling the void. No potatoes or rice for 2 days whole grain everything. is there light by the end of the week?
SHOSONE: Yes, the headache is from the sugar withdrawal. It will get better. And if you are hungry, eat something legal...like some raw veggies, or even some triscuits. One thing at a time! Its better to get legal, then work on the portions, so if you are 'empty' just eat legal stuff to fill it. It will get better! I promise! Check out the sugarbusters forum. Here is the link:
