I am a classic pear shape so I can really relate to this, but I found a way to feel better about it. You have lost 42 pounds which means you have gone down sizes in pants. If you still have old pants around put them on and see how big they are in the leg area. I have jeans that used to be skin tight on my thighs and now they hang so logically I know weight has come off my legs. I think it is just hard for us to see because they drive us so nuts. I have not come to love my legs yet but I do know I love them a heck of a lot more then the old ones. Have a good day!
I have some MBT tennis shoes and sandals. They help tone your legs while wearing them and I'm finding my legs are looking the best they have ever looked. You might want to check them out. BJ
My legs are still really big to me when I look down at them, but then when I see them in pictures, they don't look so big. But they look HUGE to my eyes. I walk/jog quite a bit too and my calves don't get any smaller, but it does take the flab off my thighs.
Have you tried taking a picture of them at a distance. You might be surprised.

Would you say they're worth their price? I use Adidias, but I always get them on sale for less than $50.
MBT stand for Masai Barefoot Technology... Here is the site... I've never heard of them, but I am always leary of products like that... If it sounds too bood to be true, it usually is...
What has worked best for my legs is running,*biking and intense weight training doing stuff like squats, lunges, walking lunges, one legged squats, doing leg work on a Bosu Ball...
I think we all have an area of our body that we aren't happy with. I know I do. I'm at goal now and though my legs are skinny, my tummy is rounder than I would like.
