Question Need Advice

My Hubby is a diabetic, and needs a high carb diet, and low protein, and I can't have carbs and need protein....how can I do both, without cooking like fifty million different things or two seperate meals? Any suggestions???

I don't think there is much you can do other than make two separate meals.

However, you can adjust them according to your needs. For example, maybe you could do a pasta bake for hubby and freeze it in portions. When it is dinner time, reheat a portion of pasta for him and meanwhile you can make a salad and perhaps grill some fish or chicken for yourself and give him a smaller portion of protein.

If you make the carb meals ahead of time and reheat them it may make the process easier.

I guess it all comes down to the meal planning thing. ARGH! Right now his schedule is so whacked....he works the late shift at Buger King, and always eats junk there, which he really shouldn't. We found out his kidneys are not working properly, and his protein levels are way too high, that's why he's been put onto a strict carb diet...Now trying to get him to stick with it...I feel bad for eating meat and such in front of him when he can't have it.
