How many pounds had you lost before people started noticing that you'd lost anything? When did you start seeing differences?
I know it's different for everyone! I'm almost 15 pounds down from my starting weight, and I don't feel any difference at all! My pants aren't any looser, my face still looks just as pudgy. I know it takes time, and I know everyone is diffirent...
I'm 5'4" ... and I was pretty lucky in that I gained weight ALL OVER, so I look pretty proportionate! (Unlike my younger sister who gained it all in her belly and butt! She's got skinny arms, skinny legs and a round middle )
I am 5'4" and have lost 16 no one in my daily paths have noticed but when I did my monthly flea market, some of the other ladies there notice right away. So I really think it just matters how often you see the people you want to notice.
I'd look up an old friend and go out for dinner, see if they notice.

I'm hoping that when I see my husband in 2 weeks (for the first time in a month) he notices Since we haven't seen each other in awhile! That'd be the ULTIMATE compliment!
I had an experience this week with someone who had not saw me in a long time..
She went on an on about my weight loss..
Really she took it over board.
Told me that I had to me at my goal weight..
I did not know if I wanted to hug her or hit her..
My weight right now is 225 and I am only around 5'5...
This was probably the first person that really noticed.
After about 20 lbs I could really tell..
Good luck...
I really don't remember, but I think it was 50 lbs.? Surprisingly, people who didn't know me at 261 actually notice the few pounds I've lost recently, which I think is because weight lifting is doing great things for my body shape.
I don't remember who gave this analogy before, but it always made a lot of sense to me: If you take 30 toilet paper rolls off of a tree made of 300 toilet paper rolls, it won't be as noticeable as if you take 30 toilet paper rolls off of a 200 roll tree. It's more noticeable after you get smaller and smaller. My grandma says something to me now everytime I see here. I didn't get one comment until I lost 40 or 50 pounds. And my sister's boyfriend didn't say anything until a few weeks ago, after I had lost over 100 pounds!!
And like other girls mentioned, it depends how much people see you too. If someone sees you every day, they are less likely to notice.

Some people commented after about 10lb, but a lot of people noticed later than that - or noticed before but didn't want to say the wrong thing or ask me directly.
I think it varies a lot. I had lost at least 50 lbs before people that didn't know I was trying to lose weight mentioned it. And for most of that time, I was still wearing a lot of the same old baggy clothes. I've lost 80 lbs now, and lots of people still haven't noticed, or at least haven't mentioned it. Once I had to get new clothes that fit, more people started noticing.
