Diet mantras
Just in a strange mood today, I guess...
****************
First one is from the novel Dune, by Frank Herbert...
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
**
Second one is from a t-shirt I have, copyright 2005 Instant Attitudes
I will not brew decaf.
Decaf is the mind-killer.
Decaf brings the little sleep that leads to total oblivion.
I will embrace my caffeine.
I will brew my beverages and let them flow through me.
And when they are gone,
I will remain... alert.
**
Third one I made up in homage to the above...
I must not slack.
Slack is the diet-killer.
Slack is the little death that brings non-motivation.
I will face my laziness.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone I will turn my eye back to The Plan.
When the slack has gone there will be commitment,
and I will remain... healthy.
