Before photos... ugh...
I took some "before" photos today so that I could track my progress. Cameras are evil! I look like I could be a float in the Easter parade! All the lumps and bumps in vivid detail...I so want to be an AFTER! My face melts into my shoulders..where did my neck go? My stomach.. I might as well be nine month pregnant. *sigh* I can't wait to see some changes!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh EJM! Those could be MY words today! <sigh> I was horrified too when I got a sideways look at my stomach in the progress picture! Especially with my skinny thighs and legs sticking out!!! Oh well won't complain about anyplace on me not being fat... but I sure do look topheavy with the huge boobs and stomach sticking out up there!!

Pictures and mirrors are cruel. I lost weight after my son was born 19 years ago, then I had another child 15 years after and now that my daughter is 5, I still have the leftover "flap". My sister in law insists that the "flap" doesn't go away at our age, and I am determined to prove her wrong.

I don't have a problem with mirrors, because I have a tendency to see who I want to see. It is when I see a picture of myself I am shocked. I always think, "who is that fat girl who looks like me!" I like to live in denile!

I wish I had taken more photos at my top weight. I always picture myself as being much thinner than I am, so it would have been nice to do a better job of documenting my progress. At least I took some pretty brutal ones at 335#.

Wow, I am the same way! When I see the pic I get so depressed. Luckly we now have the digital camaras so at least we are not wasting money developing pictures that we would end up throwing out anyways!

You could take that horrible picture and put it on your refridgerator-- that would really make you reconsider if you want to delve inside or not! Turn something negative into a positive, and remember that someday you will be the "after"!

Thank you all for the support and commiseration! I printed out the photos and put them on the bulletin board next to my computer (you know.. where I live most of my life lol ) Nothing like a little negative reinforcement!
I absolutely agree about the mirrors. I guess I see what I want to when I look in the mirror. Man, have I been fooling myself. You know.. I look at the photos and think.. my poor sweet husband! He's so supportive and wonderful..he deserve so much better.
