Thumbs up Know of any inspiring dieting books?

I love to read and just finished "Body for Life for Women" by Dr. Peek. It kept me motivated the whole time I read it and am now lifting weights along with my cardio and diet. She explains how women's physiology works differently from mens and clears up misconceptions. Now I'm looking for some new reading material about success stories, etc. I know the 3fatchicks are coming out with a book but until then, any suggestions?

Have you looked in the library forum here? They might have something that interests you listed.

I have the BFL 4 Women too. It's a great read.

I have to recommend my favorite, it's not a diet book per se, but it is the book that put me on the path to permanent weight loss. Super Foods Rx: 14 Foods that Will Change Your Life - this book really made the science of nutrition accessible to me.

All 4 of my grandparents died relatively young - diabetes, cancer, heart disease and complications of heart disease. I decided to start eating FOR long term health. Spinach for my eyes, blueberries for my brain, tomatoes to help prevent cancer, nuts to help prevent heart disease.

It made a huge difference in my weight loss. I made goals of the number of different super foods I would eat every day. When you're trying to eat blueberries and oatmeal and sweet potatoes and salmon and yogurt and walnuts and oranges and spinach in one day (for example), there just isn't much room for unhealthy stuff!

Definitely definitely an inspiring book for me.

I have read many diet books, but I like Dr. Weil's books...more on how to change your lifestyle and tap into the body's "natural" healing system...

I also like reading magazines...I find Oxygen to be a good one (well found, until it started placing WAY too many diet pill adds), I also like women's health, and the fitness and shape magazines for their success stories....

Forum library? All I can find here is a Maintenance Library? Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks Beatlesfan, but I couldn't locate the library forum. I'm kinda new to this so maybe I just haven't figured it out. I typed in a search for "libray forum" but never located it. I'll keep looking. Got any suggestions?
Glory, I'm going to try that book. Since I'm into fitday.com, I'm really keeping track of the nutrients I take in. I think I'm probably eating healthier now than ever in my life and it's actually fun.
Fitgal, I'll start looking at Oxygen. I've never read it. Anything to help is appreciated.
The truth is, I'm a food addict and like any addict in recovery I need to immerse myself in how to stay well. I was feeling a bit guilty for spending so much time planning, exercising, reading and talking about all those things. But then I realized that I need to occupy my mind with healthy goals and information. Thus, the need to read. Thanks for the input.
