Smile eDiets.com Fresh Cuisine Diet Plan?

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie here and I've finally decided I am going to make a real effort to lose weight and am looking for support and advice on this board. I hope I can give some as well. I currently weight 168 pounds and hope to get down to 105-110 which is right for my height.

I am thinking of going on the eDiets.com plan which ships you meals from Fresh Cuisine. I haven't tried it yet but a girl in my gym says the food is much better than NutriSystem so I think I will try it. Has anyone had success on this plan? Can you tell me how much weight you lost in how much time? What type of menu did you make?

Thanks so much. I have spent the last 2 hours reading through this site and it is so helpful.

I've been trying to find someone that has tried this, too! I plan to try it in the near future. I recently tried Nutrisystem and wrote a review for the site, it's linked on the home page. I wasn't impressed Though I should mention that we do have a nice group of members that are on Nutrisystem and are happy with it. I just finished a week of Diet To Your Door and it was delicious! The food is frozen, not packaged like Nutrisystem, but it's not like normal frozen dinners, either. It's fresh prepared dishes that are frozen in bags that you drop in boiling water. Each meal is a meat and two veggies. The meats include Bourbon Chicken with Peach salsa, spinach and feta stuffed chicken breasts, teriaki salmon, etc. The vegetables are usually mixed fresh veggies that may have been seasoned or roasted, and they were all good. You get 3 meals and 2 snacks daily, and I was always stuffed and happy I liked it so much that I ordered a second weeks worth of food, lol, which arrived today. I will publish my review on April 1. I'll review Jenny Craig next, and then I'll order the eDiets Fresh Cuisine and give it a shot.

Fresh Cuisine is the most expensive of all, but it looks and sounds delicious. The only thing I don't like is that you can't choose your menu items for your first order. Whatever is on the sample menu is what you get, which isn't good for anyone with dietary restrictions. I don't eat beef, so I'll end up giving away food during my trial

If you try it, please let us know what you think

I tried it for a week. It was, in my opinion, disgusting in appearance and didn't bear the slightest resemblance to the photos on their web site. The package arrived with some of the food packages all squished together and feeling sort of slimy from the melted ice. The lettuce that came for one of the salads was rusted and floppy. The whole thing was so unappealing I couldn't bring myself to even try most of it. DH ended up eating the majority of it and he felt that it was OK but certainly not even close to being worth what it cost.

Tetra, I've been on the eDiets FreshCuisine plan for 2 weeks now and my experience is vastly different! I have so far lost 7 pounds and really the meals are the only thing I have changed in my lifestyle so far as well as adding in a 30 minute walk every evening. I am extremely happy with the service so far; the meals have been great and really I'm shocked yours were so different! My meals have all come looking and tasting great and have been very satisfying. I am doing the full 7-day plan right now. Sorry your experience was not as good but I am sticking with it. I have lost weight easier with this service than I have with Nutrisystem just because the food tastes better IMO.

I will give everyone an update in another 2 weeks. My goal is to lose another 43 pounds!

Monami1978...
Have you continued with Fresh Cuisine? Is it still as good? I'm trying to decide between it and Diet to Your Door, so I look forward to hearing another review.

Hello Joan in Indianapolis! This is Joan in Pennsylvania
I tried Diet to Your Door and for me, it was not good! It came in a styrofoam cooler which wasn't really cold. Luckily, it wasn't too warm out and the food remained ok. The food wasnt that great. Everything was frozen, for the most part. I felt a bit like I was eating airplane food.
I am intrigued by EDiets food but i will never learn to make food choices if i do that.
Good Luck!

heritage, I am still on the eDiets Express plan and have been steadily losing weight. I am not too far away from my goal and its only been a few months. I feel better now than I have in years. I do still enjoy the food and I recommend it without hesitation over plans like Nutrisystem and Medifast (both of which I've tried and thought were disgusting). The eDiets food really do taste like fresh dishes and the variety is pretty good so I haven't gotten tired of anything yet.
