Smile Tell me what you see

What "liittle" differences do you see in your life because of your weight loss? For me it is the little things that keep me motivated. The differences that I have seen are:
1. I can bend over and tie my shoes and breathe at the same time.
2. Getting in and out of my car has become easier.
3. My energy level has shot through the roof!
4. I smile more often.
5. The ugly "shadow" around my waistline from wearing tight fitting pants has disappeared.
6. Climbing the stairs is no longer the challenge that it once was.

Knowing that even bigger and better changes are on the way also keeps me going! Please share your thoughts on this.

Sitting on the floor and then getting up is so much easier.

My flexiblity is better.

I too can tie my shoes and breathe.

It's amazing. Can't wait to meet my goal!

I had to run for the bus the other day and wasn't gasping by the time I got there - hardly out of breath
I have way more confidence and don't just stare at the ground when I'm around other people
I have WAY more energy
i actuallywant to do things like walk to the store instead of drive, or go play frisbee instead of sitting inside on a nice day.
Looks like you guys are doing fantastic - way to go!

Hooray for you sierra on becoming the active person you wish to be! At the age of 23 I had two little ones that I was caring for on my own. Sometimes I wonder how I did it. Aaaah! To be that young again! As a full time student and a part-time nanny you have a full plate and need all of the energy you can get. Keep your eye on the prize!

*Not being able to grab handfuls of fat when I lay down (some, yes, but not everywhere anymore!)
*Being able to just grab something out of my closet and put it on without having to agonize over whether or not it will fit
*Not having my bra straps cut into my sides. That was always fun.
*Feeling better about myself-- I set a goal and am doing it!!

Amen on the cutting bra straps! I've already gone down a cup size and do I feel better. Congradulations on your loss! You'll be seeing your goal weight before you know it.

Where to start??

**Being able to cross my legs.

**Not having to worry about my double chin in pictures. (I always hated that.)

**Being able to put my clothes in the dryer without the fear that I'll never be able to wear them again.

**Being able to sit on a kid chair when I go to a meeting at the daycare without fear of breaking it.

**The fun I have shopping for clothes for myself now. It's not near as fun to buy size 3X as it is to buy a M.

**Being able to see my collarbones and other various bones on my body that were previously covered in fat.

**Looking forward to summer and wearing tanktops and shorts! Believe me that's a first!

OMG!!! All of these sound so familiar.
- Crossing my legs
- Pulling out clothes I have not worn in 2-3 years that are too big or they actually fit!
- Chasing my son without breathing hard
- I feel healthier than I have in a long time

For me it's being able to play with my kids and not being tired right away. I feel like I have more energy and for the first time in years I was able to go shopping for clothes and actually find something in my size in the "normal" sizes. Very exciting. Everyone keep up the good work.

1) I'm not out of breath anymore when I climb the 2 flights of stairs to get home.
2) Ditto on the bra straps. It used to be that I couldn't wait to remove my bra but now, it doesn't bother me anymore.
3) I actually need to work out. I used to have to make myself excercise but now I don't feel complete without a workout.

For me it's being able to fit into clothes I haven't worn in 3 years.

I can also relate to the dryer, not having to wonder if my clothes suddenly shrunk because someone set the dryer on an extra hot setting that doesn't exist.

Let's see... after just 10 pounds... (so don't anyone feel bad about "just" 10 pounds while surrounded by folks who've lost 50 or more!)

- I don't have to stop at the second floor on my way up the stairs to the third floor
- I can reach my ankles now during my morning stretch
- like Rosario, I actually want to exercise now (I still hate it, but it just feels wrong if I don't do it)
- I have more energy and am actually happy most days (happy on a diet? no way!)
- my jeans are comfortable on the first day and too loose to wear a second day (and I can now fit comfortably into a pair that fit too tight at the beginning of the year)

Being able to feel/see my ribs again. I'd forgot I had them!

Ditto hip bones.

Used to have an asthma attack after 2 flights of stairs. Now I can run 2.5 miles and be barely out of breath!

27" waist again. When I started this diet - July last year - that was my thigh measurement!

Not only can I bend down to do up my shoelace without feeling dizzy - but I can turn on the light switches in the living room with my toes!

DH's friend last week noticing I'd lost a lot of weight and said I looked 'amazing'. (I don't feel I look a lot better but it was nice for my ego!)

Having muscles where I never even had muscles before when I was skinny!

Being 44 but being able to keep up with people half my age on my fitness DVDs!

Getting into clothes I haven't been able to fit into for 6 years.

... And you know what? Medically, I'm still overweight - with a BMI of 25! So I can't wait to be back to a BMI of 24!
