Default new to WW and board

Hi everyone. I have been reading the posts for the past few days and really enjoyed all of the support given out. Right now I am in need of some too. I went to my 3 week weigh in and only lost .8 of a pound this week. That is so depressing, but I know that it is probably from working out. This is my first time usuing the points system and finding it hard to handle some days. I have ADD and take meds for it. The meds cause me not to be hungry, so I have to force myself to use my points. Right now it is 10pm an dI still have 6pts to use. This coming week I would love to lose about 5 pounds and I am trying really hard not to eat empty calories. AHHHH!

Default You are asking far too much of yourself

Five pounds in one week is not realistic. You might drop that the first week or so if you have a lot of weight to lose, but a healthy and long-term weight loss is more like one to two pounds a week. Some weeks I don't lose anything -- it's very slow; I weigh between 145 and 150 right now, but am exercising, so my clothing fits better. We would all love to be able to lose five pounds a week, but unfortunately, that's not feasible for most people.
