HA - I went in the other direction! I was born and raised in So. CA, and moved to East TN 13 years ago. My familiy is still out there, in fact, my parents live in Riverside County.

Hey... eat the filling out of a carne asada burrito for me, will ya? It's one of the things I miss most *weep*

Riverside county? thats where I was raised! In a little town called Hemet- ever heard of it ( by choice or by force?)

carne asada.....nummynummynummy......Im afraid it was learning to make the southern food that got me here- far too much grits, boiled peanuts, fried chicken and battered okra!

OMG! *gasp* That's where my parents live! I said Riverside Co. because I knew there's no way you'd know where Hemit was. They live in Sierra Dawn, and I was just there visiting over the holidays. Smaaaaaaaalll world, huh?

Hemet, My parents took a friend of mine and me there for a "vacation" when I was a teenager. We swam in a pool and had dinner out and had fun. It was a very small place then though as I recall. Sort of on the edge of the desert?
